# Bookodile vs Booksy

> Booksy is a consumer marketplace with booking software, card payments and a front desk behind it, paid per business plus per user, with an optional commission on new customers. Bookodile is a booking system with no marketplace, no commission and a free plan that stays free.

## [Bookodile or Booksy: what matters most](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#game-changers)

| Bookodile | Booksy |
|---|---|
| **[A free plan, not a trial — with every feature](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#game-changer-every-feature-on-a-free-account)** — Start free and stay free: one location, two booking spots, 40 bookings a month, and every feature and add-on, the website and AI Chat included. Only SMS need a paid plan, because each one is billed. | **No** ([A free plan that stays free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#free-tier)) — No free plan: one paid subscription in every market — $29.99 a month in the US plus $20 per extra team member — after a 7- or 14-day trial. |
| **[A website you build with AI — on your own domain, free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#game-changer-a-website-you-build-by-asking)** — Tell AI Chat what you want and it builds your website with you. The first draft comes in moments, made from your services, prices, team, hours and reviews, in a design you choose. Then just say what to change: “make it feel warmer”, “bring over the words from my old site”, “rewrite our About text”. Photo galleries sort into categories you name, and a category linked to a service gets its own Book button. Prices and opening hours stay in step with your bookings. Your own domain connects at no cost, and nothing goes public until you publish. | **Not published** ([A website for your business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#website)) — No website: a profile on booksy.com, and a booking widget for a site you already have. |
| **[AI Chat — an AI assistant that helps with everything you need](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#game-changer-an-assistant-that-does-the-administration)** — Ask in your own words, typed or spoken, and AI Chat does the work. It sets up services, prices, the team and opening hours. It writes your bios and service descriptions and builds your website. It blocks out a holiday and hands those bookings to a colleague, moves bookings, and tells you what tomorrow holds and who changed what. Every change comes with Undo, in every account, the free one included. | **Partly** ([An AI assistant that sets up and runs your account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#ai-assistant)) — AI Receptionist, in beta in the US, answers calls and books callers in; nothing changes your account when you ask. |
| **[Two people, one visit — each blocked only for their part](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#game-changer-two-people-one-visit)** — A visit can give each part its own team member, time and room, back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own part, and your team moves the whole visit in one step. | **Partly** ([Back-to-back services with different team members](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#multi-staff-sequential)) — Only a combo booked in parallel is documented with several team members; one booked in sequence, one after another, is not. |

## [About Booksy](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#about)

- Website: https://biz.booksy.com
- Founded: 2014, in Warsaw, Poland
- Built for: Beauty and wellness businesses — hair, barbers, nails, brows and lashes, massage and spa, skincare and tattoo — with a medical directory in Poland. Not classes or events.
- Markets: Nine countries have their own site and price list on biz.booksy.com: the United States (in English and Spanish), the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, Germany, Poland, Brazil and South Africa; its contact page names a local team in each of them but Germany. A second business site, booksy.com/biz, lists fourteen regions in its chooser — Canada, Australia, Mexico, Chile, Argentina and Portugal among them, Germany not — and its Canadian page says it describes the United States feature set. Not Slovakia, Czechia or Vietnam, and an account books only within its own country.

## [What Booksy charges](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#pricing)

One plan in every market, priced per business per month with one user included, plus a monthly fee for each additional user, in the local currency and before tax: $29.99 plus $20 a user in the United States, £40 plus £5 in the United Kingdom, €44 plus €5 in Ireland, €34.99 plus €8 in Spain, €59 plus €10 in France, €35 plus €7 in Germany, 145 zł net plus 35 zł net in Poland, R$ 99.99 plus R$ 20 in Brazil and R 399 plus R 89 in South Africa. Poland stops charging for users beyond the ninth; the other pages show no cap. The trial is 14 days in the United States and South Africa and 7 days everywhere else — every page but Poland's and Brazil's says no card is needed — and there is no free plan. Card processing is charged per transaction at the rate on each regional page. The line to read carefully is Boost: an optional marketplace switch that charges a one-time commission on a new customer's first completed visit. The pricing pages put it at 30% in the United States up to a $100 maximum, 30% in the United Kingdom with a £5 minimum plus VAT, 30% in Spain up to a €50 maximum plus IVA, 45% net in Poland up to 250 zł net, and 40% in South Africa up to R1500. The help centre adds what those pages leave out: a $10 minimum in its United States article, a €4 plus IVA minimum in Booksy's Spanish help centre, and in its Polish help centre a 25 zł net minimum, VAT on top of the net commission, and a lower 35% net rate on request. The Irish, French, German and Brazilian pricing pages show no Boost and say no commission is charged for new clients. Booksy's own pages disagree in two places. The marketplace feature page says visibility can be switched off while booking keeps working, but the help centre says the permanent switch means no customer can book and the temporary one comes back on after 7 days. And while every pricing page says cancel any time, the help centre says cancelling is done by emailing support, and Booksy's Polish help centre says switching Boost off takes a month's notice.

## What Bookodile charges

A base rate per location plus a rate per booking spot that actually took a booking that month, in country bands. Every feature and add-on is included at every price, there is no commission, and it is free at one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a month. The one thing billed by use is SMS: they need a paid plan and are billed per SMS on its invoice, capped each month. The figures live on one page so they cannot drift: https://bookodile.com/pricing — and the model is explained at https://bookodile.com/docs/what-bookodile-costs.

## [Why businesses switch from Booksy](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#why-switch)

- **[No commission on the customers you win](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-no-commission-on-the-customers-you-win)** — With Boost on, Booksy takes a one-time cut of a new customer's first completed visit: 30% in the United States (maximum $100), 30% in the United Kingdom (minimum £5, plus VAT), 30% in Spain (maximum €50, plus IVA), 45% net in Poland (maximum 250 zł net) and 40% in South Africa (maximum R1500), by its pricing pages. Its United States help centre adds a $10 minimum, and Booksy's Spanish and Polish help centres minimums of €4 plus IVA and 25 zł net. The Irish, French, German and Brazilian pricing pages show no Boost and say no commission is charged for new clients. Bookodile takes no commission, no new-client fee and no per-booking charge — the bill is the subscription, plus any SMS you send with the SMS messages add-on, billed per SMS and capped each month.
- **[A free plan that stays free, and spots instead of users](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-a-free-plan-that-stays-free-and-spots-instead-of-users)** — Booksy has no free plan: one subscription per business, then a monthly fee for every additional user — $20 in the United States, £5 in the United Kingdom, €5 in Ireland — after a 14-day or 7-day trial. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, and above that it bills a base rate per location plus the spots that took a booking, so a receptionist or an owner who serves nobody costs nothing.
- **[Customers book without an account or an app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-customers-book-without-an-account-or-an-app)** — Booksy's own profile page says customers need an account to book — contact details entered and verified — and a customer without one cannot be charged a deposit or leave a review. Bookodile asks for a name plus an email or a phone number: no account, no app, no password, and a web portal for anyone who wants to see their bookings.
- **[Two people, one visit, each blocked only for their part](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-two-people-one-visit-each-blocked-only-for-their-part)** — Booksy's Combo Services document more than one team member only for the Parallel type, where every service starts at the same time. Nothing published says a Sequence combo can hand its second stage to a different person, or how long each person is blocked. A Bookodile combo gives each stage its own team member, its own duration and its own room, back to back.
- **[A booking page that carries only your business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-a-booking-page-that-carries-only-your-business)** — A Booksy profile is listed in the marketplace by default, in a directory alongside other businesses. Its help centre gives two ways off: search visibility off, which comes back on after 7 days, and a permanent switch that removes the profile and stops booking. Bookodile's page is yours alone — no directory and no competitor beside you.
- **[Every location in one account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-every-location-in-one-account)** — In Booksy a second location is a second account, merged by support so one sign-in can switch between them; the price of the second is not published. Bookodile runs up to 50 locations in one account — a guard against misuse, raised on request — each with its own team, hours, services and booking page, one customer list across them and a group dashboard that totals them; each location is billed at a base rate.

### [Pricing](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#group-pricing)

| | Bookodile | Booksy |
|---|---|---|
| [A free plan that stays free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#free-tier) | **Yes** — Free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every feature and add-on — SMS aside, which need a paid plan. Not a trial — a plan a small business stays on. A paid plan starts with 14 days free rather than a charge. | **No** — Subscription only — one paid plan in every market. The only free period is the trial: 14 days in the United States and South Africa, 7 days everywhere else that publishes one, no card required. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/23486975849490) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [No commission on bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#no-commission) | **Yes** — No commission, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge. The bill is the subscription, plus any SMS you send with the SMS messages add-on, billed per SMS and capped each month. | **Partly** — None on bookings through your own profile link, and none on marketplace bookings while Boost is off. Booksy's Polish help centre names every commission-free route — the profile link, its QR code, the profile's share option and the Facebook, Instagram and Google booking buttons — and a customer already in your contact list; its United States, British and Spanish articles name the profile link and say to point the Instagram and Facebook Book Now buttons at it, and mention neither the QR code nor Google. With Boost on, a one-time fee on a new customer's first completed visit: 30% in the United States (minimum $10, maximum $100), 30% in the United Kingdom (minimum £5, plus VAT), 30% in Spain (maximum €50, plus IVA), 45% net in Poland (maximum 250 zł net), 40% in South Africa (maximum R1500); Booksy's Spanish help centre adds a €4 plus IVA minimum and its Polish help centre a 25 zł net minimum. The Irish, French, German and Brazilian pricing pages show no Boost and say no commission is charged for new clients. Tips and add-ons are excluded, and a claims process refunds a customer who was already yours. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16486248108946) (read 2026-10-17) |
| [Every feature included](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#everything-included) | **Partly** — Every feature and add-on is included — reminders, reviews, vouchers, the waiting list, forecasting, Messages, AI Chat and the website with your own domain. The one thing billed by use is SMS: the SMS messages add-on is free, and each SMS is billed monthly with a paid plan at a price per country, never more a month than a cap that starts at the plan's own price. Each location is billed at a base rate. | **Partly** — The subscription carries forms, the waitlist, gift cards, memberships, packages, reports and Reserve with Google at no additional charge, and a monthly marketing-text allowance — 2,000 in the United States, 500 in the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa, 100 in Spain, France, Poland and Germany. Sold separately: texts beyond that (5p in the United Kingdom, 5c in Ireland, 10 groszy net in Poland), card readers ($53.10 or $299 plus shipping in the United States), Fast Payouts at 1.5%, a $20 chargeback fee in the United States (per its payment-fees article), and the Boost commission where Boost is offered. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/pricing) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [The same features on every plan](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#no-plan-gating) | **Partly** — One plan, with free limits: every account, including a free one, has every feature and add-on. The one exception is SMS, which need a paid plan, because each one is billed on its invoice. | **Yes** — One plan with every feature; there is no higher tier to move to. The split is by device instead: memberships, packages, gift-card creation, shifts, inventory, cash registers, staff commissions and resources are only in the web and tablet version, not the phone app. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/pricing) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [No minimum term or cancellation fee](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#no-contract) | **Yes** — Monthly, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. There is no yearly plan. | **Yes** — Monthly, no commitment, cancel any time. Cancelling is done by emailing support, and an App Store subscription cannot reduce its user count in place — cancel and buy a new one. Booksy's Polish help centre adds that switching Boost off takes a month's notice and only the owner can ask. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16540030689810) |
| [Processes your customers' card payments](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#payment-processing) | **No** — Bookodile does not take your customers' money. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; payment stays between you and the customer. | **Yes** — Booksy Payments: online and keyed cards, Tap to Pay, card readers, Booksy Pay, Klarna in the United States, next-business-day payouts at no charge and 30-minute Fast Payouts at 1.5%. United States 2.69% + $0.30 online or 2.49% + $0.10 with a reader; United Kingdom 1.29% + 20p + VAT; Ireland 2.6% + VAT. A United States business can instead pass a 3.5% + $0.10 platform fee to the customer, except in seven states. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16465247608594) |

### [Taking bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#group-booking)

| | Bookodile | Booksy |
|---|---|---|
| [A hosted booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#hosted-booking-page) | **Yes** — bookodile.com/your-business, with your logo, colour, services — each with its photo, when you add one — and hours. One page per location. | **Yes** — A public profile on booksy.com with a share link and a QR code. The QR code expires if nobody uses it for a year, or if the business name changes. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16536355817234) |
| [Booking on your own website](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#embed-widget) | **Yes** — One snippet embeds the whole flow in any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — inline or behind a Book-now button in your brand colour. A QR code is generated for print. | **Partly** — A JavaScript booking button or widget script for any site or CMS that allows custom scripts to be inserted. The article says Booksy gives no further help with implementing it. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/23480739244434) |
| [Customers book without an account or an app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#guest-booking) | **Yes** — The customer gives only the details you require — a name, and an email, a phone number or both. No account, no app, no password. My Bookings, a web page they sign in to with an emailed code or Google, shows every booking they hold, if they want it. | **Partly** — No app is needed — a customer can book from a browser through the booking link — but an account is: Booksy's profile page answers 'Do clients need an account to book me? Yes', with the customer's contact details entered and verified. The help centre adds that deposits and cancellation fees cannot be charged to a customer without a Booksy account, and a review needs a booking made from one. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/features/booksy-profile) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [Several services in one booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#multi-service-booking) | **Partly** — Combo services chain stages into one booking, and the extras you configure are offered during booking, in more than one round. Customers do not pick arbitrary pairs from the catalogue — you decide which combinations exist. | **Yes** — Customers can select several services in one booking when the business allows it, add extras during booking, and book Combo Services — a bundle of services sold as one item, priced as the sum of the parts or a custom figure. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16538245194002) |
| [Back-to-back services with different team members](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#multi-staff-sequential) | **Yes** — Each stage of a combo can have its own team member, its own duration and its own room, booked back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own stage, never for the whole visit. Staff move the whole visit in one step, with the times that fit every person in it shown first. | **Partly** — Combo Services come in two types. 'Sequence' runs services one after another with optional breaks between them; 'Parallel' starts every service at the same time and, in the article's words, involves more than one staff member. Only the Parallel type is documented as multi-staff. No article says a Sequence combo can put each stage with a different team member, or how long each person is blocked. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16537510218514) |
| [Rooms, chairs and equipment as bookable resources](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#resources) | **Yes** — Rooms, chairs and equipment with a capacity and their own hours. A service can need a resource alone, a person alone, or both, and capacity is enforced when the booking is made. A service linked to several takes whichever one is free; a booking never holds two at once. Each one is open to anyone who does its services, or kept for named people when it belongs to them — three juniors share a chair while the master has his own. | **Partly** — Resources are assigned to services 'just like you would a staff member', with their own working hours, for rooms and equipment; web and tablet only. The documented effect is that two services sharing a resource cannot be booked at the same time. A capacity above one, and booking a resource with no person, are not documented. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16535746638226) |
| [Classes and events with a capacity](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#group-classes) | **Yes** — Events with a capacity and a registration list for one-off things; a recurring class is a service on a resource with a capacity, so it fills up and stops. | **Partly** — No class or event product. Two adjacent features: Group Booking, created by the business only, for 2–10 people on the same service, which customers cannot make themselves and which No-Show Protection does not cover; and per-service Parallel Clients, a maximum number of customers a slot stays bookable up to. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16459393119634) |
| [A different price per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#per-staff-pricing) | **Yes** — A service can be priced per team member, or per category such as Junior and Senior. The customer sees each person's price as they choose who, and the category's name too if you show it. | **Yes** — Service variants: a variant carries its own price and is assigned to selected team members, so the same service can cost a different amount per person. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16535124505362) |
| [A different duration per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#per-staff-duration) | **Yes** — A service can take a different time per team member. Leave someone blank and they use the service's own duration. | **Yes** — The same variants carry a duration, so a service can take a different time per person. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16535124505362) |
| [Buffer time that blocks the calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#buffer-time) | **Yes** — Each service can have its own buffer after it, up to 120 minutes, which blocks the person and any resource it used. Enforced on the booking page and in the booking API. | **Yes** — Padding time before or after a service, blocked in the calendar for preparation or cleaning. A separate processing time leaves a gap in the middle of a service that another customer can book. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/21028092250258) |
| [A waiting list with automatic offers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#waitlist) | **Yes** — Your team adds customers to the list; they cannot join it from the booking page. When a booking is cancelled, the time is offered automatically by email to whoever has waited longest for that service, with three hours to confirm — or until the time starts, if sooner — and confirming books them straight in. If nobody confirms, it goes to the next person waiting for that service within about ten minutes, as long as the time is still ahead and still free. | **Yes** — Customers join from the customer app. On a cancellation Booksy texts everyone waiting with a link to book, first come first served. It does not hold a spot or book anyone automatically. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16463469277714) |
| [Recurring bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#recurring-bookings) | **Partly** — Your team can repeat a booking of one service from the calendar — weekly, every two weeks or monthly, up to 52 visits — and cancel one visit or the whole series. A combo or a booking with add-ons cannot be repeated. Customers cannot book a recurring appointment themselves. | **Yes** — The calendar feature page lists recurring appointments for repeat customers. No help-centre article describes how they are set up or whether customers can book one themselves. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/features/calendar-scheduling) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [Booking rules](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#booking-rules) | **Yes** — Minimum notice (up to 72 hours), how far ahead (up to 365 days), start times every 5 to 60 minutes, auto-confirm or your approval, and a cancellation window (up to 168 hours) with late cancellation allowed or not — one set of rules per location. | **Yes** — Advance booking limits and same-day cut-offs, automatic confirmation or the business approving each booking, customers rescheduling only within the business's notice period, and specific customers blocked from booking online. Booksy's service-settings article adds settings per service: self-booking on or off, booking intervals down to five minutes, and manual confirmation always for a mobile service. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/features/online-booking) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [Customers cancel or reschedule themselves](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#self-service-cancel-reschedule) | **Yes** — Customers reschedule or cancel themselves from the link in their confirmation and reminder emails, or in My Bookings, outside your cancellation window, and can tell you why. A reschedule moves the whole visit in one step to a free time with the same team members and price, and the customer's calendar event moves with it. Inside the window they cannot reschedule online, and can cancel only if you allow late cancellations, once they accept they may be charged. | **Yes** — From the customer's Booksy account or app. The business can limit when a customer may reschedule. Booksy's business article says customers can cancel at any time; its customer article says the cancellation window is set by the business and fees may apply — the two disagree. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16463839045394) |
| [Deposits and no-show protection](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#deposits-no-show) | **No** — No card on file and no deposits, because Bookodile does not process payments. A no-show is marked on the booking and counted on the customer's record, never charged. You can let customers cancel late once they accept you may charge them; collecting it is up to you. | **Yes** — Deposits — part or full prepayment, minimum $5 — and cancellation fees against a card on file, optionally charged automatically at the end of each day, set per service. Needs Mobile Payments, does not cover group bookings, and cannot be charged to a customer without a Booksy account. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16487324704658) |
| [Extras offered while booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#upsells) | **Yes** — Extras are offered while booking, per service or per category, in up to several rounds, with an optional discount for adding them. A service can be offered only as an extra, off the list of services. | **Yes** — Add-ons offered during booking; the price and length of the appointment adjust automatically. An add-on cannot be booked on its own. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16538230036882) |

### [What customers see](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#group-customers)

| | Bookodile | Booksy |
|---|---|---|
| [A website for your business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#website) | **Yes** — Included in every account, the free one too. Built from your booking setup — services, prices, team, hours and reviews stay in step with it — with templates (switching one keeps every page, or takes a template whole with its texts rewritten for your business from your setup), one page or several in any of them, your own look, extra pages, languages, your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube as icons in the footer, and a photo gallery in categories you name — a category linked to a service opens its photos with that service's price and a Book button — photos made or enhanced with AI, changed by asking in your own words — pointing at any part of it on the preview — or by hand, typing straight onto the page and moving, copying or changing its sections where you see them, on a computer or a phone, and nothing public until you publish. An old website comes over by asking: its pages rebuilt as sections, with their own words and photos. It starts at yourname.bookodile.com; connect a domain you already own, at no cost, and it moves to www.yourbusiness.com. Every Book button opens your booking page at bookodile.com/your-business — the one under each team member with that person already chosen — and a Website visits report counts who came, from where, and how many booked, without cookies. Running promotions, upcoming events and announcements show on it too, and update themselves as they start and end. No blog, no online shop, and no code of your own. | **Not published** — Not published. No page on biz.booksy.com describes a website for the business: the Booksy Profile page sells the booking profile on booksy.com with 'No website necessary', the features list names a website widget for a site the business already has, and the help centre's website articles cover that widget and the profile link appearing as the website on a Google Business Profile. The profile is the hosted-booking-page row. |
| [Makes and improves your photos with AI](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#ai-photos) | **Yes** — Included in every account, the free one too, up to 30 photos a month per account, each try counted. Take a photo on your phone and Enhance it, a team member's or a service's too: in your own words in any language, with ideas for your kind of business, by picking a look from pictures, or by putting a person or finished work into a photo of your own place, with before and after to compare. Create a photo from a description for a place on your website that has none — the top of a page, a service's cover, a card, or your gallery — in your own photo style. Then say what should change, like "remove the hand" or "clear the background", and it edits that photo, keeping every version. AI Chat can make several at once. You choose each one, and nothing is public until you publish. It works on your website's photos: it will not make a person's face, your team's portraits or the outside of your place, because customers should see the real ones. | **Partly** — No Booksy page describes AI that makes or improves a picture. For campaign emails the help centre offers 'a variety of stock images' and a crop on a business's own upload, and a Social Media Marketing tool makes a social post from a template; cover, logo and portfolio photos are uploaded or imported. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/20711378426898-How-to-personalize-your-automated-Text-and-Email-Marketing-campaigns) (read 2026-10-30) |
| [Listed in a consumer marketplace](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#marketplace) | **No** — No marketplace. Your booking page carries only your business, and no competitor is shown beside you — which also means it sends you no new customers. | **Yes** — The centre of the product: the business profile is listed on booksy.com by default. Search visibility can be switched off for 7 days, after which it comes back on; the permanent switch removes the profile and, per the help centre, means no customer can book. The marketplace feature page says visibility can be off while booking still works — the two pages disagree. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16486745644306) |
| [An app for customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#customer-app) | **No** — No consumer app to download. Customers book in the browser. My Bookings, a web page they sign in to with an emailed code or Google, lists every booking they hold with any Bookodile business; there they cancel, keep their details up to date and can turn off a business's SMS. | **Yes** — Booksy for Customers: customers book and rebook, see past and upcoming appointments, reschedule and cancel within the business's policy, get reminders, pay and keep a card in the app, carry loyalty stamp cards, buy gift cards, book for family and friends, and manage their reviews. The page says the app is not needed to book — a browser and the booking link work too — and the pricing page says the app is free for customers. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/features/customer-app) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [Booking page languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#languages) | **Yes** — The booking page, the embedded widget and every email about a booking come in 17 languages: English, Slovak, Czech, Vietnamese, German, Hungarian, Polish, Ukrainian, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Romanian, Croatian, Slovenian and Chinese. Each location has a main language — English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese — and can add up to seven more, from the same list as its website. With more than one, the booking page shows a language switch and opens in the customer's own language when the location offers it (from the link, their last choice or their browser), otherwise in the main one. Every email and SMS about a booking goes out in the language it was made in; SMS in Ukrainian or Chinese go out in English, because they would not fit one SMS, while their emails and booking page stay in that language. Service names, descriptions, team bios and the location's other texts are translated automatically by AI, and the owner can correct any translation; names are never translated. The booking page's own wording in the 13 languages beyond English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese was written by AI and has not yet been read by a native speaker. What your customers read and what you read in the dashboard are separate settings. | **Partly** — The customer app lists English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian, and the website resolves in the same set. There is no Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese for customers; the Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese addresses on booksy.com redirect to the United States English site. [source](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/booksy-for-customers/id723961236) |
| [Your business's time zone, shown correctly](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#timezones) | **Yes** — Every time is shown in the business's own zone, including on your dashboard. A customer in another zone sees both clocks before they confirm. Locations in different zones each keep their own; the group's combined monthly totals count on one clock. Each location writes its times on a 24-hour or a 12-hour clock (2:30 PM) — its country's until you pick one — on the booking page, in emails and SMS, on the website and in the dashboard alike. | **Partly** — The time zone follows the business address and is changed by contacting support. A customer account works in one country only. Nothing is published about how times are shown to a customer in another zone. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16539665393170) |
| [Branding](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#branding) | **Partly** — Your own domain, at no cost: connect one you already own and your website moves to www.yourbusiness.com (the website row). The booking page its Book buttons open stays at bookodile.com/your-business, and the widget puts the same booking inside any other site you run, on that site's domain. Your logo, a second logo for dark backgrounds, a logo that links back to your own website, your brand colour with a contrast check, and announcements along the top of your booking page and your website. No custom CSS. | **Partly** — Cover photo, logo, description and portfolio photos on a booksy.com profile. No custom domain, fonts or CSS are documented. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/features/booksy-profile) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [Dark mode on the booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#dark-mode) | **Yes** — The hosted page follows the customer's device, and a sun-and-moon button lets them switch; My Bookings keeps the same choice. Your brand colour is adjusted to stay visible on dark. The embedded widget stays light on purpose, so it matches the website it sits in. | **Not published** — Neither the profile page nor the online-booking page mentions a dark theme for the customer's view, and the help centre has nothing on it. |
| [Book buttons on Google, Instagram and Facebook](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#social-booking) | **No** — No Reserve with Google or Instagram integration. Your booking link, bookodile.com/your-business, goes in your Google profile, your bio or a post like any link. Campaign tracking, an included add-on, gives ready-tagged links for Google, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and counts the bookings each one brings. | **Yes** — Reserve with Google, free in every Booksy country (not for Shared Locations, and search visibility must be on); an Instagram Book Now button as an official Meta partner; a Facebook Book Now button that needs Business Manager, a catalogue, an ad account and a pixel; a TikTok link; and bookings from Google's AI Mode. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16486489939602) |
| [Found on Google under your own name](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#search-visibility) | **Yes** — On from the start, once an automatic check of the business name passes — normally within minutes: your booking page is in the sitemap search engines read, under your business's name, with your own description and address as the snippet, and Bing and others are told when it changes. A published website is listed the same way at its own address, from its first online booking or two weeks after publishing. One switch keeps both out. Search engines still decide what to show and when. | **Yes** — The profile page's FAQ answers 'Does my profile help with visibility?' with 'Profiles are structured to support discovery on Booksy and visibility in Google search.' The profile is the business's public page on booksy.com, Booksy's marketplace. No settings for how it appears in Google are described. ### [Running the business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#group-operations)

| | Bookodile | Booksy |
|---|---|---|
| [An AI assistant that sets up and runs your account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#ai-assistant) | **Yes** — AI Chat, in every account including the free one, with a daily allowance per account. Ask in English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese, typed or spoken: it answers how-to questions from this documentation and your own settings, explains why a day has no free times and who changed what; sets up team, services, prices, hours, rooms, booking rules, add-ons, logo and brand colour, and the order of your services and team; writes bios, your about text and service descriptions; builds and changes your website's draft and brings over the words of an old site; and moves, cancels or hands over bookings and blocks time, once or repeating. It shows every change first and waits for you to apply it, with Undo — only texts and the website's draft go in at once, still with Undo, and the website stays private until you publish. It answers you, not your customers, and does not create bookings. | **Partly** — AI Receptionist, in beta on Booksy's United States site: it answers the business's phone in English or Spanish, books callers into the calendar, creates a client card for a new caller, filters spam calls and texts the business a summary when it cannot help. Bookings with No-Show Protection are not supported yet. Current Booksy users request access; the first 500 to join get it free for at least 12 months, and no price after that is published. Nothing published describes an assistant that sets up or changes the account for the business. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/features/ai-receptionist-beta) (read 2026-10-17) |
| [Calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#calendar) | **Yes** — Day, week and month. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person — the calendar names any clash first, and Undo puts it back for ten seconds after. Block out time for the business, one person or a resource — once, or repeating every day, on chosen weekdays, every two weeks or every month. Add a walk-in; filter by person, service or resource. A visit with several services moves as one — dragged, or from the booking dialog, which shows the times that fit everyone first and still takes any other day and time, listing what it clashes with. | **Yes** — Day, week, month and list views, a fit-to-page view of every team member, drag and drop to reschedule, time-off blocks, colour schemes, and shifts on web and tablet. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16463655123346) |
| [A native app for your team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#staff-app) | **No** — No native app. The dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen and works there, online. No push notifications: the team is told about bookings by email. | **Yes** — Booksy Biz on iOS and Android for the owner and the team. Team members are invited by email and manage their own calendar, customers and checkout. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16535739916562) |
| [Several locations in one account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#multi-location) | **Yes** — Up to 50 locations in one account — a guard against misuse, raised on request — each with its own team, hours, services and booking page. A new location can start from one you have — its services with prices, hours, booking rules, logo and colours and website — and takes the team members you pick. Customers are one list across them, a team member can work at several with one sign-in, and a group dashboard totals them. The free plan covers one location; each location is billed at a base rate. | **Partly** — One account per location, merged by support so one login switches between them. A Shared Location is for several independent businesses at one address, not for one business with several. The price of a second location is not published. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16538539391122) |
| [Roles and permissions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#roles-permissions) | **Yes** — Owner, Manager, Employee and Receptionist ready-made, or build a role and set each permission by hand — including whether someone sees only their own bookings, customers and figures, takes bookings at all, can message customers, or manages billing, which only the owner can give. | **Partly** — Five fixed levels — Owner, Manager, Reception, Staffer and Basic Staffer — plus a few per-person switches for seeing and booking all calendars, the customer database and checkout. No custom roles. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16535688940946) |
| [A history of who changed what](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#change-history) | **Yes** — Activity records changes to bookings, customers, services, resources, the team, time off, blocked time and settings: what changed from what to what, who did it — a team member by name, the customer, or automatic — how and when. Each role sees the history of what it can open, a booking's own history sits in the booking window with what the customer was sent, and it exports to CSV. Kept 24 months, in every account. Not recorded: what a role may do, prices set per team member or category, payment records, billing and add-on records such as vouchers; a note shows as edited, never its words. | **Not published** — Not published. The help centre describes an alert when a team member opens many customers' contact details in a short time, and the AI Receptionist page mentions an activity log of the calls it takes; nothing describes a record of who changed a booking, a customer, a service or a setting. |
| [Reports](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reports) | **Yes** — Revenue, bookings, average value and cancellation rate over the last twelve months, charted month by month, with bookings by status, new customers, top services and the team ranked by revenue; per location or across all. A no-show counts as a booking, never as revenue. Website visits shows who came to your website, from where, and how many booked. Forecasting, revenue split, booking sources and payments received are included add-ons. The period is fixed at twelve months. | **Yes** — Bookings and cancellations, sales and revenue, transactions, occupancy, customers, marketing, team performance, commissions and tips, stock and inventory. The feature page says over 50 built-in reports, read in a dashboard or exported as a file. Booksy's download article adds that each report downloads on web and tablet, while the phone app emails a set of key reports as an Excel file. No forecasting report is documented. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/features/stats-and-reports) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [A leaderboard for the team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#team-leaderboard) | **Yes** — A monthly competition on bookings or revenue that the whole team sees, with a winner per category if you want one, results frozen and emailed on the 1st, and a Hall of fame. Revenue amounts stay hidden from the team unless you show them. Up to three at once, per location. An included add-on. | **Partly** — A staff performance report shows one team member at a time — stats, appointments, sales and reviews — to owners and managers. Other roles cannot view reports, though a manager can show or send someone their own; no ranking against colleagues is documented. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16534905410066-Can-I-generate-a-staff-member-performance-report) |
| [Point of sale, stock and payroll](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#pos-inventory-payroll) | **No** — No point of sale, no stock, no payroll — a walk-in is a booking. The included payment-tracking add-on records what each visit was paid, by cash, card or transfer, with part-payments and tips shared between the people who did the work, and Revenue split works out each team member's share at the percentage you set, month by month. | **Partly** — Checkout with cash registers, Tap to Pay, card readers, Booksy Pay and Klarna in the United States; an inventory module with orders, deliveries and stock counts; automatic commission rates at checkout with a commissions report. Cash registers, inventory and commissions are web and tablet only. No payroll product is documented. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16460239349394) |
| [Confirmations and reminders](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reminders) | **Yes** — Confirmations, a reminder the day before at 8:00, two hours before or both — your choice — changes, cancellations and follow-ups by email, all included, in the language the customer booked in. By SMS too with the SMS messages add-on: the add-on is free, and SMS need a paid plan — billed monthly with it, per SMS, capped each month. SMS reach numbers in 14 countries today; Czechia, the US and Canada are coming soon. | **Yes** — Booking reminders go by text 24 hours before at no cost, or by push to customers with the app; emails and push notifications are always free. Marketing texts draw on a separate monthly allowance. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16463854228114) |
| [Messages with one customer, in one inbox](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#customer-messages) | **Yes** — Messages, in every account: write to one customer from the calendar or their page by email, SMS or both, and read their answer in one inbox, with unread ones marked and the team told by email. Email is included; SMS need the SMS messages add-on on a paid plan, billed per SMS — Czech, US and Canadian numbers coming soon. The customer answers on a page the message links to, not by replying to the email or text, and cannot start a conversation. No WhatsApp. | **Partly** — Booksy's Polish help centre: a message to one customer is written in a 'Message for the client' field on their upcoming booking, and the client card offers Call, Email and, in the phone app only, SMS. No article describes the customer's answer arriving in Booksy. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/pl-pl/articles/16484679529106) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [Email and text campaigns](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#marketing-campaigns) | **Partly** — No bulk email or SMS campaigns. Included add-ons instead: a win-back sequence of up to three emails to customers overdue for a visit, judged by their own usual gap, never to anyone with a booking ahead and starting over after their next visit, the later ones with a one-time discount code; promotions and announcements on your booking page and your website, an announcement optionally kept on the booking page for customers who have booked before; and Campaign tracking, which shows which ads and links bring bookings. | **Yes** — Text and email marketing: automated templates — a welcome after the first visit, a rebook invitation at three weeks, win-back, birthday and holiday — plus custom blasts, capped at four messages per customer per 30 days, a social-post creator and digital flyers. Texts come out of the region's monthly allowance. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/20711343056658) |
| [Reviews](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reviews) | **Yes** — Collect a rating and comment after each visit, publish them on your booking page and website when you choose — all of them, never hand-picked — reply in public or privately, and ask every customer, not only the happy ones, for a Google review in the same email. | **Partly** — Verified reviews requested automatically about 30 minutes after the appointment, with a 30-day window, shown on the profile; the owner can reply; existing reviews can be imported by support; removal only for a breach of the terms. Nothing is published about asking for Google reviews. [source](https://help.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/21640322746002) |
| [Gift vouchers, discount codes and promotions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#vouchers-discounts) | **Partly** — Gift vouchers, discount codes, promotions and upsell discounts, all included. No packages or memberships, and vouchers are issued by you rather than sold online. | **Yes** — Gift cards sold online through Mobile Payments, packages and memberships (web and tablet), promotions — Flash Sale, Happy Hours, Last Minute Discount — Premium Hours for a higher price at peak times, and loyalty stamp cards. No discount-code feature is documented. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16485226884370) |
| [Google or Outlook calendar sync](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#calendar-sync) | **Partly** — Bookings are pushed into one Google Calendar per location as they are made, moved or cancelled. One direction only — Google events do not block your availability — not one calendar per team member, and no Outlook sync. Customers can add their own booking to Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar. | **Partly** — A one-time import: export Google or Apple Calendar as an .ics file of up to 5,000 events and upload it, and the events become walk-ins. No live one-way or two-way sync is documented. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/17499276381458) |
| [Intake and consent forms](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#forms) | **Partly** — A consent checkbox in your own wording, with a link to your privacy policy — each customer's agreement is recorded with the date and the wording they saw — invoice details that can be optional or required, and a notes field. No custom intake forms or questions, and no e-signatures. | **Yes** — Custom consent forms, liability waivers and questionnaires, collected before the visit and stored on the customer's card. Booksy's service-settings article adds per-service questions the customer answers while booking. Whether a form can be signed is not stated. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/features/client-management) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [Your data: export, import, API](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#data-portability) | **Partly** — Export bookings, customers and the activity log to CSV whenever you like. No import tool yet — customers from another tool are added one at a time or as they book — and no public API. | **Partly** — Export is by request to support: the United States article covers the customer list; the Polish article a full export within five business days. Import: customers from phone contacts or a spreadsheet, and calendars as .ics. No public API or webhooks are documented. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16539806017938) |
| [Support](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#support) | **Yes** — Email support, included, with the documentation at bookodile.com/docs behind it, and AI Chat in the dashboard, which answers how-to questions from that documentation and from your own settings. A new business is walked through its setup in AI Chat right after signing up — its services, texts and website — at no cost. No phone line, and no chat with a person. | **Yes** — 24/7 live chat in both apps plus email, and a free data-transfer service that moves customers and upcoming appointments in at sign-up, with video tutorials behind it. No phone line and no paid onboarding are documented. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16540029346962) |

## [Where Booksy is stronger](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strengths)

- **[It brings you customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-it-brings-you-customers)** — Booksy is a consumer marketplace — its marketplace page says 65 million customers use it worldwide, where its About page still says 44 million — with a customer app, Reserve with Google, an official Instagram Book Now button and bookings from Google's AI Mode. A business can be found without doing its own marketing, and with Boost off, marketplace bookings are free. Bookodile has no marketplace: your page carries only your business, which also means it sends you nobody.
- **[It takes the money and enforces no-shows](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-it-takes-the-money-and-enforces-no-shows)** — Card on file, deposits, cancellation fees charged automatically, Tap to Pay, card readers, Klarna in the United States and next-business-day payouts at no charge. Bookodile does not process payments, hold a card or take a deposit; a no-show is recorded on the customer, not charged.
- **[A front desk in the box](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-a-front-desk-in-the-box)** — Checkout with cash registers, an inventory module with orders and stock counts, staff shifts, automatic commission rates at checkout, gift cards, packages, memberships and, per its feature page, over 50 reports. Bookodile has no point of sale, stock, payroll, packages or memberships.
- **[Marketing texts and campaigns included](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-marketing-texts-and-campaigns-included)** — Text and email marketing with automated welcome, rebook, win-back and birthday messages, loyalty stamp cards, promotions and a higher price at peak hours, within a monthly text allowance of 2,000 in the United States, 500 in the United Kingdom and Ireland and 100 in Spain, France, Poland and Germany. Bookodile sends no bulk campaigns and no marketing SMS — its SMS are confirmations, reminders and your own messages, on a paid plan and to numbers in 14 countries, not yet Czechia and not the United States or Canada; it has an automated win-back sequence and promotions on the booking page.
- **[Native apps, 24/7 chat and a free data transfer](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-native-apps-247-chat-and-a-free-data-transfer)** — Booksy Biz on iOS and Android for the team, live chat around the clock inside the app, and a free service that moves your customers and upcoming appointments in when you sign up. Bookodile's dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen, support is by email with AI Chat in the dashboard for how-to questions, and there is no import tool.
- **[Russian for customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-more-customer-languages)** — Eight in the customer app — English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian. Bookodile's booking page has 17 languages and every one of those but Russian, though its wording in French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Ukrainian was written by AI and has not yet been read by a native speaker. Its 17 include Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, which Booksy does not have.
- **[An AI receptionist that answers the phone](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-an-ai-receptionist-that-answers-the-phone)** — In beta on its United States site, Booksy's AI Receptionist picks up the business's calls in English or Spanish, books the caller into the calendar and texts you when a person is needed; the first 500 businesses to join get it free for at least 12 months. Bookodile has no phone answering and nothing that talks to your customers for you: its AI Chat works for you and your team inside the dashboard, setting up services, team and hours and moving bookings, and shows each change first and waits for you to apply it — only texts and the website's draft go in at once, still with Undo.

## Notes for anyone selling Bookodile

These are the claims not to make against Booksy, because they are not true:

- Do not quote a single Boost percentage. It is 30% in the United States, the United Kingdom and Spain (each with its own limits), 45% net in Poland and 40% in South Africa, and the Irish, French, German and Brazilian pricing pages show no Boost and say no commission is charged for new clients. Name the market or say nothing — and do not say Booksy takes a commission in Ireland, France, Germany or Brazil.
- Do not say Boost is switched on by default, or that Booksy charges for your existing customers. Its help centre documents switching Boost on by hand and a claims process for a customer who was already yours; nothing Booksy publishes settles either point.
- Do not say Booksy cannot book two services in sequence with two different team members. Only the Parallel combo is documented as multi-staff; the Sequence case is undocumented, not disproven.
- Do not say Booksy has no dark mode, no discount codes, no Google review requests, no forecasting and no API. None is published, which is not the same as absent.
- Do not say Booksy has no website builder, keeps no record of who changed what, or that a customer cannot answer a message sent from Booksy. Nothing published settles any of the three — and its AI Receptionist page does mention an activity log of the calls it takes.
- Do not quote the older United States model of $10 per user up to nine and $119.99 for unlimited users. The current United States page says $20 per user with no cap; a cap of nine paid users is on the Polish page only.
- Do not repeat a third-party price — a per-staff tier or a monthly Boost fee — that is not on a Booksy page. Booksy's Boost has no monthly fee.
- Do not claim Bookodile is cheaper than Booksy for a given team. Booksy's additional user is £5 in the United Kingdom and €5 in Ireland; put both bills side by side before saying anything about price.
- Do not imply Bookodile takes card payments, deposits or no-show fees. Booksy does; Bookodile does not.
- Do not describe Booksy's renewal or price-change terms. Its terms-of-service page was not found, so there is nothing published to quote.
- Do not say Germany is, or is not, a Booksy market. A German site and price list exist on biz.booksy.com, while Booksy's contact page names no German team and the region chooser on booksy.com/biz leaves Germany out.
- Do not cite app-store, Trustpilot or Capterra ratings, review counts or review quotes as facts about Booksy.

## [Common questions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq)

**[Is Booksy free?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-is-booksy-free)**

No. Booksy is a subscription in every market — one plan per business, one user included, and a fee for each additional user — after a trial of 14 days in the United States and South Africa and 7 days elsewhere, no card required. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every add-on included — SMS aside, which need a paid plan — and it stays free.

**[Can I move my customers from Booksy to Bookodile?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-can-i-move-my-customers-from-booksy-to-bookodile)**

Booksy's help centre says to ask its support team for your customer list; in Poland a full export arrives within five business days. Bookodile does not yet import a file. Customers are created the first time they book, so the list rebuilds as regulars return, and your team can add anyone by hand in the meantime.

**[Does Bookodile take card payments and deposits like Booksy?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-does-bookodile-take-card-payments-and-deposits-like-booksy)**

No. Booksy processes cards, holds a card on file, takes deposits and charges cancellation fees. Bookodile does none of that: payment stays between you and your customer, however you already handle it, and the payment-tracking add-on records what arrived.

**[What happens to my Booksy marketplace listing?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-what-happens-to-my-booksy-marketplace-listing)**

It stays on booksy.com while your subscription runs. Booksy's help centre describes two switches: search visibility off, which comes back on after 7 days, and the permanent switch, which removes your profile and stops booking through Booksy. The subscription itself is cancelled by email to support. Bookodile has no directory to list you in; your page carries only your business, and it sends you no new customers on its own.

**[Which languages can my customers book in?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-which-languages-can-my-customers-book-in)**

Booksy's customer app is in English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian; there is no Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese. Bookodile's booking page comes in 17 languages, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese among them but not Russian: each location has a main language and can add up to seven more, which customers switch between on the page, separately from the language you read your dashboard in. Its wording in the 13 beyond English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese was written by AI and has not yet been read by a native speaker.

**[How does the price compare for a business with three people?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-how-does-the-price-compare-for-a-business-with-three-people)**

On Booksy, three people are one subscription plus two additional users — in the United States $29.99 plus $20 each, in the United Kingdom £40 plus £5 each, in Ireland €44 plus €5 each, before tax — and Boost's first-visit commission on top if it is on. On Bookodile, three people each taking bookings at the same time are three booking spots, which is above the free tier; if two of them share one room, that is two spots. The figure for your country is on the pricing page.

## Who Booksy is for

Booksy is a consumer marketplace first and booking software second. Its
business product, Booksy Biz, is sold to beauty and wellness businesses — its
help centre's worked examples run from hair and nails to massage and tattoo —
and in Poland it has a medical directory as well. It is not a class or event
product; nothing in its help centre describes one. Its business site has a
version and a price list for nine countries, with the United States as the
reference market — its Canadian page says it describes the United States
feature set. Slovakia, Czechia and Vietnam are on none of its country lists,
and an account can only book within its own country.

Bookodile is a booking system, with a website built from it, and nothing else:
no directory, no card processing, no till. It is for a business whose people
are priced or timed differently, where a room or a piece of equipment is the
real limit, where one visit can involve two people, and where the customers it
wins are its own at no fee. Those are the rows above where the two differ
most.

## The pricing model, in practice

Booksy charges one subscription per business, with one user inside it, and
then a fee for every additional user: in the United States $29.99 plus $20 a
user a month, in the United Kingdom £40 plus £5, in Ireland €44 plus €5, each
before tax. There is no free plan; the trial is 14 days in the United States
and South Africa and 7 days elsewhere. Card processing is charged per transaction at the rate
on each regional pricing page.

Then there is Boost. It is off until switched on, and with it on Booksy takes
a one-time commission on the first completed visit of every new customer the
marketplace brings. Its pricing pages put it at 30% in the United States, up
to $100; 30% in the United Kingdom with a £5 minimum, plus VAT; 30% in Spain,
up to €50, plus IVA; 45% net in Poland, up to 250 zł net; 40% in South
Africa, up to R1500. The help centre adds minimums the
other pricing pages leave out: $10 in its United States article, €4 plus IVA
in Booksy's Spanish help centre, and 25 zł net in its Polish help centre,
which also adds VAT on top of the net commission, a lower 35% net rate on
request and a month's notice to switch Boost off. The Irish, French,
German and Brazilian pricing pages show no Boost at all and say no commission
is charged for new clients. Bookings through
your own profile link are not charged — Booksy's Polish help centre extends
that to the profile's QR code and the Facebook, Instagram and Google buttons,
while its English articles name the link and the Instagram and Facebook
buttons pointed at it — and Booksy documents a claims process for a customer
it counted as new who was already yours.

Bookodile charges per location plus per booking spot that actually took a
booking that month — a spot being one appointment you can run at the same
time as another. People who take no bookings are not counted, and there is no
commission on anything. SMS, sent with the SMS messages add-on, need a paid
plan and are billed per SMS, capped each month. It is free at one location with up to two active spots
and 40 bookings a month; the figures for your country are on
[the pricing page](/pricing) and the model is explained in
[What Bookodile costs](/docs/what-bookodile-costs).

Which is cheaper depends on how many users you pay Booksy for and on whether
Boost is on. Put your own numbers into both before deciding; the case for
Bookodile is in the rows above, not in the bill.

## Two services, two people

Booksy's bundle is a Combo Service, and its set-up article documents two
types. In *Sequence*, services run one after another, with optional breaks
between them. In *Parallel*, every service starts at the same time and, in
the article's words, involves more than one staff member; the Polish version
adds that each service is assigned to a different team member. The price is
the sum of the parts or a custom figure. That is the whole of what is
published about more than one person in a booking: it covers services that
happen simultaneously. Nothing says a Sequence combo can put its first stage
with one person and its second with another, and nothing describes how long
each person is blocked. Booksy's processing time is a different thing — a gap
inside one service that another customer can book while the same person is
still serving the first. This page does not guess at the rest.

In Bookodile the same visit is a combo service: stage one with one person,
stage two with another, as one booking. Each stage carries its own team
member, its own duration and its own room if it needs one, and each person is
blocked only for their stage. The customer books once and receives one
confirmation.

## Switching from Booksy

- **Customers.** Booksy exports your customer list on request to its support
team. Bookodile has no import tool yet; customers are created the first
time they book, and your team can add anyone by hand.
- **Bookings.** Outside Poland, Booksy documents no bookings export.
Bookodile does not import bookings either; run the two side by side until
the Booksy calendar empties out, then switch the link.
- **Your profile and listing.** Your Booksy profile stays on booksy.com for
as long as the subscription runs. Search visibility off lasts 7 days before
it comes back on; the permanent switch removes the profile. The
subscription is cancelled by email to Booksy support. Bookodile's page is
  bookodile.com/your-business and carries only you.
- **Your booking link.** Every place the Booksy link lives — Google Business
profile, Instagram bio, your website — gets the new one. Bookodile
generates a QR code for the counter.
- **Reserve with Google, Instagram and Facebook buttons.** These are Booksy
integrations; Bookodile has no equivalent. Your Google profile can still
carry the booking link as its website or appointment link, and Campaign
tracking, an included add-on, gives ready-tagged links for Google,
Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and counts the bookings each one brings.
- **Reviews.** Booksy's reviews live on its profile; the Polish export
includes them, the United States article covers the customer list only.
Bookodile starts collecting its own after each visit.
- **Payments, deposits and cancellation fees.** If you take them through
Booksy, you will need another way. Bookodile records payments; it does not
  take them.
- **Gift cards, packages and memberships.** Bookodile has gift vouchers and
discount codes, but no packages or memberships; anything outstanding is
  honoured outside the system.

## Where each one fits

Choose Booksy if you want a marketplace sending you customers and accept a
share of their first visit for it, card payments and no-show fees inside the
booking, a till with stock and commissions, marketing texts included, a native
app for the team, or a booking page in Russian.

Choose Bookodile if you want the customers you win to be yours at no fee, a
free plan for a small business, booking without an account, two people in one
visit each blocked only for their own part, every location in one account, or
a booking page in Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese — three languages Booksy does
not have, in three countries where it does not operate.
