# Bookodile vs Mindbody

> Mindbody is an all-in-one platform for fitness, wellness and beauty businesses, with a consumer marketplace, payments, memberships and classes, priced per location. Bookodile is a booking system with no plan ladder, no minimum term and a free tier, built for people, rooms and prices that differ.

## [Bookodile or Mindbody: what matters most](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#game-changers)

| Bookodile | Mindbody |
|---|---|
| **[A free plan, not a trial — with every feature](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#game-changer-every-feature-on-a-free-account)** — Start free and stay free: one location, two booking spots, 40 bookings a month, and every feature and add-on, the website and AI Chat included. Only SMS need a paid plan, because each one is billed. | **No** ([A free plan that stays free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#free-tier)); **No** ([The same features on every plan](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#no-plan-gating)) — No free plan, and features unlock by plan: Starter has no rooms and resources, promo codes, packages or texting; prices start at $79 a location in North America and €99 in the EU. |
| **[A website you build with AI — on your own domain, free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#game-changer-a-website-you-build-by-asking)** — Tell AI Chat what you want and it builds your website with you. The first draft comes in moments, made from your services, prices, team, hours and reviews, in a design you choose. Then just say what to change: “make it feel warmer”, “bring over the words from my old site”, “rewrite our About text”. Photo galleries sort into categories you name, and a category linked to a service gets its own Book button. Prices and opening hours stay in step with your bookings. Your own domain connects at no cost, and nothing goes public until you publish. | **Yes** ([A website for your business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#website)) — Included, but built by Mindbody's team, and 'customers cannot make edits on their own': changes go through that team, quarterly. |
| **[AI Chat — an AI assistant that helps with everything you need](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#game-changer-an-assistant-that-does-the-administration)** — Ask in your own words, typed or spoken, and AI Chat does the work. It sets up services, prices, the team and opening hours. It writes your bios and service descriptions and builds your website. It blocks out a holiday and hands those bookings to a colleague, moves bookings, and tells you what tomorrow holds and who changed what. Every change comes with Undo, in every account, the free one included. | **Yes** ([An AI assistant that sets up and runs your account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#ai-assistant)) — Assistants on the classes, appointments and staff pages make changes you describe, each on its own page only; none moves a booking, and its general AI Assistant can't change records. |
| **[Two people, one visit — each blocked only for their part](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#game-changer-two-people-one-visit)** — A visit can give each part its own team member, time and room, back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own part, and your team moves the whole visit in one step. | **Partly** ([Back-to-back services with different team members](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#multi-staff-sequential)) — No linked service with a different person per stage, and add-ons need the same team member. |

## [What Mindbody charges](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#pricing)

Per location, per month, with unlimited users — adding people does not change the price, adding a location does. In the EU the entry plan, Starter, starts at €99 a month per location; the UK page says £89; Australia sells a different ladder, Go, Core and Growth, at A$89, A$279 and A$369. For North America and Asia the pricing page's FAQ says the entry plan starts at $79 USD a month, and that Mindbody Payments there charges a rate plus a fixed fee of $0.10 to $0.30 per transaction; it publishes no United States percentage, and the help centre says to email for the US rates. Accelerate and Ultimate are quoted by sales; the help centre describes an Ultimate Plus tier above them that is no longer sold to new subscribers. There is no free plan, and no free trial is published. The terms are the part to read: a 90-day initial term, then 30-day terms with 30 days' notice, optional fixed terms of 12, 24 or 36 months, fees that are non-refundable, and early termination that leaves the whole term payable. Separately, a new client's first purchase through the Mindbody app costs 20% of the price, capped at $30 or 30 in local currency. Mindbody's own pages disagree on where marketing sits: the pricing page puts email and text marketing on Ultimate, while the help centre's package breakdown shows Campaigns from Accelerate.

## What Bookodile charges

A base rate per location plus a rate per booking spot that actually took a booking that month, in country bands. Every feature and add-on is included at every price, there is no commission, and it is free at one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a month. The one thing billed by use is SMS: they need a paid plan and are billed per SMS on its invoice, capped each month. The figures live on one page so they cannot drift: https://bookodile.com/pricing — and the model is explained at https://bookodile.com/docs/what-bookodile-costs.

## [Why businesses switch from Mindbody](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#why-switch)

- **[No minimum term, and free until you outgrow it](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-no-minimum-term-and-free-until-you-outgrow-it)** — Mindbody has no free plan; Starter starts at €99 a month per location in the EU, the first 90 days cannot be cancelled, every term after that renews unless you give 30 days' notice, and fees are non-refundable. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, and a paid account is monthly, with no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
- **[Customers book without an account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-customers-book-without-an-account)** — Mindbody's consumer site prompts anyone who is not signed in to sign in before they can book, its widgets have customers register, and its app asks for a Mindbody account first. On Bookodile a customer types a name and an email or a phone number and is booked — no account, no app, no password — and a web portal shows their bookings if they want it.
- **[Every feature on every account, SMS aside](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-every-feature-on-every-account)** — Mindbody's Starter plan has no rooms and resources, no promo codes or packages, no text messaging, pre-set permissions that cannot be edited, and a shorter report list; those arrive at Accelerate, and reviews, automations and lead management at Ultimate. Bookodile has one plan: every account, including a free one, has every feature and every add-on. The one exception is SMS, which need a paid plan — any paid plan — and are billed per SMS, capped each month; they reach numbers in 14 countries today, with Czechia, the US and Canada coming soon.
- **[Two people, one visit, each blocked only for their part](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-two-people-one-visit-each-blocked-only-for-their-part)** — Mindbody has no linked service with a different team member per stage. Its add-ons are not separate appointments, do not extend the appointment and, online, need the same staff member, and Consumer Mode Book Multiple books independent same-day appointments only where support has switched it on, with appointment waitlists off. A Bookodile combo gives each stage its own team member, its own duration and its own room, back to back, in one booking with one confirmation.
- **[A different price per person, set by you](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-a-different-price-per-person-set-by-you)** — Mindbody's Per Staff Pricing needs a call to technical support to switch on, is designed for businesses that offer appointments only, and covers single sessions. In Bookodile a service is priced per team member or per category, such as Junior and Senior, from the settings, and the customer sees which is which.
- **[A waiting list that offers the slot itself](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-a-waiting-list-that-offers-the-slot-itself)** — Mindbody's appointment waitlist is a request list that only staff can confirm, joined on the consumer site only; the automatic First to Claim text needs the two-way text package from Accelerate, in nine countries that do not include Slovakia or the Czech Republic. On Bookodile your team adds customers to the list — they cannot join it from the booking page — and when a booking is cancelled the time is offered automatically by email to whoever has waited longest for that service, with three hours to confirm; confirming books them straight in. Included on every account.

### [Pricing](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#group-pricing)

| | Bookodile | Mindbody |
|---|---|---|
| [A free plan that stays free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#free-tier) | **Yes** — Free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every feature and add-on — SMS aside, which need a paid plan. Not a trial — a plan a small business stays on. A paid plan starts with 14 days free rather than a charge. | **No** — No free plan. The entry plan starts at $79 USD a month per location in North America and Asia; elsewhere it is Starter at €99 in the EU, £89 in the UK, or Go at A$89 in Australia, and the site offers a demo rather than a free trial. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/pricing) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [No commission on bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#no-commission) | **Yes** — No commission, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge. The bill is the subscription, plus any SMS you send with the SMS messages add-on, billed per SMS and capped each month. | **Partly** — No fee on bookings through your own website, widget or consumer site. A new client's first purchase through the Mindbody app costs 20% of the price, capped at $30 or 30 in local currency, once per client and not refunded if the sale is; the same 20% applies to Reserve with Google and Affiliate Network purchases, promoted intro offers and dynamic pricing. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/217038307-What-are-Marketing-Platform-fees) |
| [Every feature included](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#everything-included) | **Partly** — Every feature and add-on is included — reminders, reviews, vouchers, the waiting list, forecasting, Messages, AI Chat and the website with your own domain. The one thing billed by use is SMS: the SMS messages add-on is free, and each SMS is billed monthly with a paid plan at a price per country, never more a month than a cap that starts at the plan's own price. Each location is billed at a base rate. | **No** — Sold separately: the branded app (an add-on on Accelerate and Ultimate, not available on Starter; the Ultimate Plus package that included it is no longer sold to new subscribers), Messenger[ai] and the Insights dashboard (neither available on Starter), AI Concierge on Accelerate, livestream and on-demand video, and the Utility Messages text add-on that is mandatory for SMS in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland — all add-ons in the help centre's package breakdown, which prints no price for them. The Card Updater FAQ charges $1, £1 or €1 per updated card; the pricing page prices premium implementation, custom data conversion and Technical Account Management separately, and each extra location adds to the subscription; a bulk data export after cancellation costs extra. | [The same features on every plan](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#no-plan-gating) | **Partly** — One plan, with free limits: every account, including a free one, has every feature and add-on. The one exception is SMS, which need a paid plan, because each one is billed on its invoice. | **No** — Starter has no rooms and resources, no promo codes or packages, no text messaging of any kind, pre-set staff permissions that cannot be edited, and a shorter report list. Accelerate adds those plus two-way text confirmations and no-show fee management; Ultimate adds automations, feedback and reviews, lead management and AI Concierge. The branded app is not available on Starter and is an add-on on Accelerate and Ultimate; Ultimate Plus, which included it and the Insights dashboard, is no longer sold to new subscribers. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203886078-Software-Level-Features-and-Options-Full-Breakdown) (read 2026-10-17) |
| [No minimum term or cancellation fee](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#no-contract) | **Yes** — Monthly, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. There is no yearly plan. | **No** — A 90-day initial term, then 30-day terms that renew unless either side gives at least 30 days' notice, with longer fixed terms offered by plan and no exit before the end. Fees are non-refundable, ending early leaves every fee for the whole subscription term payable, and a locked price may rise at the next renewal. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/company/legal/terms-of-service) |
| [Processes your customers' card payments](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#payment-processing) | **No** — Bookodile does not take your customers' money. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; payment stays between you and the customer. | **Yes** — Mindbody Payments, with card readers in some countries and the option of a different processor. The help centre's rate table covers the United States, Canada, Mexico, the UK, the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. Published rates are 2.4% + €0.25 online and 1.75% in person in the EU, 1.99% + 6.50 CZK online and 1.75% in person in the Czech Republic, and 2.19% + 20p online in the UK. For North America and Asia the pricing page gives only the fixed part — $0.10 to $0.30 per transaction, on top of a rate that varies with card-present or not and the payment type — and the help centre says to email for United States and Australian rates. ### [Taking bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#group-booking)

| | Bookodile | Mindbody |
|---|---|---|
| [A hosted booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#hosted-booking-page) | **Yes** — bookodile.com/your-business, with your logo, colour, services — each with its photo, when you add one — and hours. One page per location. | **Yes** — Every account has a Mindbody consumer site with sign-in, appointment and class screens, plus a listing in the Mindbody app. Every plan also includes a Customized Website that Mindbody's team builds, with booking built in and one domain bought for you — for businesses that do not provide prenatal, children's or medical services. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/customized-websites) |
| [Booking on your own website](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#embed-widget) | **Yes** — One snippet embeds the whole flow in any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — inline or behind a Book-now button in your brand colour. A QR code is generated for print. | **Yes** — Branded web tools — schedule, appointment, class list, pricing, registration and staff list widgets — pasted as a code snippet into Squarespace, Wix, WordPress or a Facebook page, on every plan including Starter. Checkout stays inside your site only in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK and the EU with a supported processor; elsewhere the customer is sent on to the consumer site. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/branded-web-tools) |
| [Customers book without an account or an app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#guest-booking) | **Yes** — The customer gives only the details you require — a name, and an email, a phone number or both. No account, no app, no password. My Bookings, a web page they sign in to with an emailed code or Google, shows every booking they hold, if they want it. | **No** — A customer account is required: the consumer site prompts anyone not signed in to sign in before booking, the widgets have customers register, and the Mindbody app asks for a Mindbody account to get started. The only guest flow documented is buying a gift card. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203261233-Booking-appointments-in-consumer-mode) |
| [Several services in one booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#multi-service-booking) | **Partly** — Combo services chain stages into one booking, and the extras you configure are offered during booking, in more than one round. Customers do not pick arbitrary pairs from the catalogue — you decide which combinations exist. | **Partly** — Staff book several appointments for one customer in one go from the schedule sidebar. For customers, Consumer Mode Book Multiple books several same-day appointments at once on the consumer site — but the help centre says it is not available on all Mindbody sites, it is switched on by support, it disables appointment waitlists, and it is not in the widgets or the apps. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203261233-Booking-appointments-in-consumer-mode) |
| [Back-to-back services with different team members](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#multi-staff-sequential) | **Yes** — Each stage of a combo can have its own team member, its own duration and its own room, booked back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own stage, never for the whole visit. Staff move the whole visit in one step, with the times that fit every person in it shown first. | **Partly** — No linked service with a different person per stage: add-ons are, in the help centre's words, not separate appointments, they do not extend the appointment's length, and online they need the same staff member for the main appointment and the add-on. Consumer Mode Book Multiple books independent same-day appointments, each with its own staff pick, so each person is blocked for their own appointment only — where support has enabled it, and with appointment waitlists off. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203253993-Appointments-Add-ons) |
| [Rooms, chairs and equipment as bookable resources](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#resources) | **Yes** — Rooms, chairs and equipment with a capacity and their own hours. A service can need a resource alone, a person alone, or both, and capacity is enforced when the booking is made. A service linked to several takes whichever one is free; a booking never holds two at once. Each one is open to anyone who does its services, or kept for named people when it belongs to them — three juniors share a chair while the master has his own. | **Extra cost** — Rooms and Resources start at Accelerate; Starter has none. A room or piece of equipment can be required for an appointment or class and a room can be rented online on its own, but the help centre limits a room or resource to a single appointment and service provider, so a capacity above one means duplicate rooms, and assigned rooms are not available for add-ons. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203254103-Rooms-and-resources) |
| [Classes and events with a capacity](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#group-classes) | **Yes** — Events with a capacity and a registration list for one-off things; a recurring class is a service on a resource with a capacity, so it fills up and stops. | **Yes** — Classes, courses and workshops with a maximum capacity, with online capacity controlled separately from total capacity, on every plan. Pick-a-Spot seat maps from Accelerate, and semi-private appointments through an appointment capacity. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/scheduling) |
| [A different price per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#per-staff-pricing) | **Yes** — A service can be priced per team member, or per category such as Junior and Senior. The customer sees each person's price as they choose who, and the category's name too if you show it. | **Partly** — Per Staff Pricing lets different team members charge different amounts for the same service, but the help centre says you need to call technical support to start using it, that it is designed for businesses that offer appointments only, and that it covers single sessions, not per customer. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203254133-Appointments-Setting-up-appointments-with-Per-Staff-Pricing) |
| [A different duration per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#per-staff-duration) | **Yes** — A service can take a different time per team member. Leave someone blank and they use the service's own duration. | **Yes** — Each team member has their own booking length per appointment type in Staff Appointment Setup, and the permission to edit appointment lengths per staff is on every package. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203254123-Appointments-setup-assign-availability-and-pricing) |
| [Buffer time that blocks the calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#buffer-time) | **Yes** — Each service can have its own buffer after it, up to 120 minutes, which blocks the person and any resource it used. Enforced on the booking page and in the booking API. | **Partly** — No buffer field: the help centre's method is to lengthen the appointment type's booking time in Staff Appointment Setup, and the longer length is what the customer sees unless the email phrases are edited. Prep and finish time exists, but its article says it is not meant to add a buffer between appointments and can cause double booking if used that way. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203269783-How-can-I-add-a-buffer-time-between-Appointments) |
| [A waiting list with automatic offers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#waitlist) | **Yes** — Your team adds customers to the list; they cannot join it from the booking page. When a booking is cancelled, the time is offered automatically by email to whoever has waited longest for that service, with three hours to confirm — or until the time starts, if sooner — and confirming books them straight in. If nobody confirms, it goes to the next person waiting for that service within about ten minutes, as long as the time is still ahead and still free. | **Partly** — For classes, the first person on the waitlist is added automatically when a place opens, if they hold a valid pricing option. For appointments it is a request list that only staff can confirm, joined on the consumer site only; First to Claim, which texts everyone waiting when a slot frees, needs the two-way text package from Accelerate in the countries where Mindbody offers texting. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203258873-Appointments-Waitlists) |
| [Recurring bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#recurring-bookings) | **Partly** — Your team can repeat a booking of one service from the calendar — weekly, every two weeks or monthly, up to 52 visits — and cancel one visit or the whole series. A combo or a booking with add-ons cannot be repeated. Customers cannot book a recurring appointment themselves. | **Yes** — Customers book recurring appointments themselves on the consumer site, with an end date, and staff can create them. A recurring appointment cannot carry an add-on. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/226467887-Booking-appointments-in-consumer-mode) |
| [Booking rules](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#booking-rules) | **Yes** — Minimum notice (up to 72 hours), how far ahead (up to 365 days), start times every 5 to 60 minutes, auto-confirm or your approval, and a cancellation window (up to 168 hours) with late cancellation allowed or not — one set of rules per location. | **Yes** — Schedule windows per service category: how many days ahead booking opens and how many minutes before the start it closes. Cancellation windows per category, request-and-approve mode by turning off client-booked appointments, time increments, a first-available-only option, and a choice between unpaid and prepaid booking. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/204244673-How-can-I-set-up-how-far-in-advance-my-clients-can-schedule-appointments) |
| [Customers cancel or reschedule themselves](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#self-service-cancel-reschedule) | **Yes** — Customers reschedule or cancel themselves from the link in their confirmation and reminder emails, or in My Bookings, outside your cancellation window, and can tell you why. A reschedule moves the whole visit in one step to a free time with the same team members and price, and the customer's calendar event moves with it. Inside the window they cannot reschedule online, and can cancel only if you allow late cancellations, once they accept they may be charged. | **Yes** — Rescheduling is a site-wide switch and cancellation is enabled per service category. Customers do both from My Schedule on the consumer site and in the apps, inside your cancellation window. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/204244693-Why-can-t-my-clients-reschedule-their-appointments-online) |
| [Deposits and no-show protection](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#deposits-no-show) | **No** — No card on file and no deposits, because Bookodile does not process payments. A no-show is marked on the booking and counted on the customer's record, never charged. You can let customers cancel late once they accept you may charge them; collecting it is up to you. | **Partly** — Full prepayment can be required, but for every service category at once — the help centre says it is not possible to require payment for some appointments only — and there is no partial deposit at booking. A card can be captured at booking on the consumer site, no-show and late-cancel fee management starts at Accelerate, and appointments turn to no-show automatically ten minutes after the start time. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/216363828-How-do-I-allow-for-unpaid-appointment-booking-for-clients-and-members) |
| [Extras offered while booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#upsells) | **Yes** — Extras are offered while booking, per service or per category, in up to several rounds, with an optional discount for adding them. A service can be offered only as an extra, off the list of services. | **Yes** — Appointment add-ons are offered on a customise-your-service screen when booking online. They need the version 2 appointment widget with Consumer Identity or a recent app version, must be offered by the same team member as the main appointment, and do not add time to the booking. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/How-to-book-and-cancel-appointment-add-ons) |

### [What customers see](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#group-customers)

| | Bookodile | Mindbody |
|---|---|---|
| [A website for your business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#website) | **Yes** — Included in every account, the free one too. Built from your booking setup — services, prices, team, hours and reviews stay in step with it — with templates (switching one keeps every page, or takes a template whole with its texts rewritten for your business from your setup), one page or several in any of them, your own look, extra pages, languages, your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube as icons in the footer, and a photo gallery in categories you name — a category linked to a service opens its photos with that service's price and a Book button — photos made or enhanced with AI, changed by asking in your own words — pointing at any part of it on the preview — or by hand, typing straight onto the page and moving, copying or changing its sections where you see them, on a computer or a phone, and nothing public until you publish. An old website comes over by asking: its pages rebuilt as sections, with their own words and photos. It starts at yourname.bookodile.com; connect a domain you already own, at no cost, and it moves to www.yourbusiness.com. Every Book button opens your booking page at bookodile.com/your-business — the one under each team member with that person already chosen — and a Website visits report counts who came, from where, and how many booked, without cookies. Running promotions, upcoming events and announcements show on it too, and update themselves as they start and end. No blog, no online shop, and no code of your own. | **Yes** — Customized Websites, included in every plan with no ongoing cost: Mindbody's team builds the site with AI from your logo, colours and content, with its booking tools built in, launches it — in 3–5 business days at the fastest, 2–3 weeks on average — and maintains it, and staff and schedule changes made in Mindbody show on the site automatically. You cannot edit the site yourself — edits are requested before launch and then quarterly — and animations, video and full design freedom are not offered. Mindbody buys one domain for you at no cost, registered in your name if you leave, or connects one you already own, and says domain-related fees may apply. It is not offered to businesses providing prenatal, children's or medical services, and the page names 31 countries it can serve, Slovakia and the Czech Republic not among them. | [Makes and improves your photos with AI](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#ai-photos) | **Yes** — Included in every account, the free one too, up to 30 photos a month per account, each try counted. Take a photo on your phone and Enhance it, a team member's or a service's too: in your own words in any language, with ideas for your kind of business, by picking a look from pictures, or by putting a person or finished work into a photo of your own place, with before and after to compare. Create a photo from a description for a place on your website that has none — the top of a page, a service's cover, a card, or your gallery — in your own photo style. Then say what should change, like "remove the hand" or "clear the background", and it edits that photo, keeping every version. AI Chat can make several at once. You choose each one, and nothing is public until you publish. It works on your website's photos: it will not make a person's face, your team's portraits or the outside of your place, because customers should see the real ones. | **Not published** — Not published. Mindbody's Customized Websites and Marketing Tools pages do not describe making or improving a business's photos with AI: the marketing page lists 'AI-powered content creation tools' beside its email and text campaigns without saying what they create, and Mindbody's Professional Services terms say the customer provides the images for a Customized Website. |
| [Listed in a consumer marketplace](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#marketplace) | **No** — No marketplace. Your booking page carries only your business, and no competitor is shown beside you — which also means it sends you no new customers. | **Yes** — The Mindbody app lists your business beside others nearby for its 3 million-plus active users. Listing is free and opt-in, and a new client's first purchase through the app costs 20% of the price, capped at $30 or 30 in local currency. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/pricing) |
| [An app for customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#customer-app) | **No** — No consumer app to download. Customers book in the browser. My Bookings, a web page they sign in to with an emailed code or Google, lists every booking they hold with any Bookodile business; there they cancel, keep their details up to date and can turn off a business's SMS. | **Yes** — The Mindbody app, where customers find businesses and book and rebook services, memberships and class packs, with reviews and dynamic pricing. A branded app in your own name is an add-on on Accelerate and Ultimate on the pricing page, and the help centre says the Ultimate Plus package that included it is no longer sold to new subscribers. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/mindbody-app) (read 2026-10-17) |
| [Booking page languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#languages) | **Yes** — The booking page, the embedded widget and every email about a booking come in 17 languages: English, Slovak, Czech, Vietnamese, German, Hungarian, Polish, Ukrainian, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Romanian, Croatian, Slovenian and Chinese. Each location has a main language — English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese — and can add up to seven more, from the same list as its website. With more than one, the booking page shows a language switch and opens in the customer's own language when the location offers it (from the link, their last choice or their browser), otherwise in the main one. Every email and SMS about a booking goes out in the language it was made in; SMS in Ukrainian or Chinese go out in English, because they would not fit one SMS, while their emails and booking page stay in that language. Service names, descriptions, team bios and the location's other texts are translated automatically by AI, and the owner can correct any translation; names are never translated. The booking page's own wording in the 13 languages beyond English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese was written by AI and has not yet been read by a native speaker. What your customers read and what you read in the dashboard are separate settings. | **Partly** — The website widgets come in 22 languages, including Czech, German, English and French, but not Slovak or Vietnamese, and the consumer cart takes one language per site. The consumer site's translation service covers eight languages, none of them Czech, and the consumer app is in English and Spanish. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/Changing-widget-languages-branded-web-tools-formerly-Healcode) |
| [Your business's time zone, shown correctly](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#timezones) | **Yes** — Every time is shown in the business's own zone, including on your dashboard. A customer in another zone sees both clocks before they confirm. Locations in different zones each keep their own; the group's combined monthly totals count on one clock. Each location writes its times on a 24-hour or a 12-hour clock (2:30 PM) — its country's until you pick one — on the booking page, in emails and SMS, on the website and in the dashboard alike. | **Yes** — A time zone per location, set on the Locations screen, and every schedule renders in it. The Business app can toggle between the home location's zone and the phone's, and the consumer cart uses a 12-hour clock. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203254403-Business-Information-Screen) |
| [Branding](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#branding) | **Partly** — Your own domain, at no cost: connect one you already own and your website moves to www.yourbusiness.com (the website row). The booking page its Book buttons open stays at bookodile.com/your-business, and the widget puts the same booking inside any other site you run, on that site's domain. Your logo, a second logo for dark backgrounds, a logo that links back to your own website, your brand colour with a contrast check, and announcements along the top of your booking page and your website. No custom CSS. | **Partly** — Logo and header and text colours on the consumer site, fonts and colours on the widgets, and the included website can sit on your own domain. The help centre does not document custom CSS or removing Mindbody's own branding from the consumer site or app. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/branded-web-tools) |
| [Dark mode on the booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#dark-mode) | **Yes** — The hosted page follows the customer's device, and a sun-and-moon button lets them switch; My Bookings keeps the same choice. Your brand colour is adjusted to stay visible on dark. The embedded widget stays light on purpose, so it matches the website it sits in. | **Not published** — Mindbody publishes nothing about dark mode on the consumer site, the widgets or the branded app. The only dark-mode article covers the staff Business app, which follows the phone's setting. |
| [Book buttons on Google, Instagram and Facebook](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#social-booking) | **No** — No Reserve with Google or Instagram integration. Your booking link, bookodile.com/your-business, goes in your Google profile, your bio or a post like any link. Campaign tracking, an included add-on, gives ready-tagged links for Google, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and counts the bookings each one brings. | **Partly** — Reserve with Google in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong only; it requires Mindbody Payments and the Affiliate Network, a marketing network fee applies to each purchase, and it does not support waitlists. Booking on a Facebook page is on every package, and no Instagram booking button is documented. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/Reserve-with-Google-FAQs) |
| [Found on Google under your own name](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#search-visibility) | **Yes** — On from the start, once an automatic check of the business name passes — normally within minutes: your booking page is in the sitemap search engines read, under your business's name, with your own description and address as the snippet, and Bing and others are told when it changes. A published website is listed the same way at its own address, from its first online booking or two weeks after publishing. One switch keeps both out. Search engines still decide what to show and when. | **Yes** — The Customized Website included in every plan is, in Mindbody's words, 'set up to be indexed by all major search engines like Google and Bing', with meta tags, structured data for the business type and image alt text by default; Mindbody adds that this does not guarantee rankings. The website goes to eligible businesses — not those providing prenatal, children's or medical services. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/customized-websites) (read 2026-10-16) |

### [Running the business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#group-operations)

| | Bookodile | Mindbody |
|---|---|---|
| [An AI assistant that sets up and runs your account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#ai-assistant) | **Yes** — AI Chat, in every account including the free one, with a daily allowance per account. Ask in English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese, typed or spoken: it answers how-to questions from this documentation and your own settings, explains why a day has no free times and who changed what; sets up team, services, prices, hours, rooms, booking rules, add-ons, logo and brand colour, and the order of your services and team; writes bios, your about text and service descriptions; builds and changes your website's draft and brings over the words of an old site; and moves, cancels or hands over bookings and blocks time, once or repeating. It shows every change first and waits for you to apply it, with Undo — only texts and the website's draft go in at once, still with Undo, and the website stays private until you publish. It answers you, not your customers, and does not create bookings. | **Yes** — Three page assistants — Classes, Appointment and Staff — make the change when you describe it: they create several classes, appointment services or team members at once, update names, durations, pricing options and staff assignments in bulk, and create records from an uploaded spreadsheet, each only on its own page; the help centre names no plan for them. The AI Assistant, free and in beta, answers questions about the software from the Support Center and your subscription and links to the screen, but cannot create or change records. No assistant moves or cancels a booking for the business: AI Concierge does that for customers by web chat and text and texts back after a missed call — included on Ultimate, an add-on on Accelerate, not on Starter — and Messenger[ai], an AI front desk by text, is an add-on from Accelerate. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/Chatbot-FAQ) (read 2026-10-17) |
| [Calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#calendar) | **Yes** — Day, week and month. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person — the calendar names any clash first, and Undo puts it back for ten seconds after. Block out time for the business, one person or a resource — once, or repeating every day, on chosen weekdays, every two weeks or every month. Add a walk-in; filter by person, service or resource. A visit with several services moves as one — dragged, or from the booking dialog, which shows the times that fit everyone first and still takes any other day and time, listing what it clashes with. | **Yes** — An appointment schedule with a column per team member, a booking sidebar, drag and drop to reschedule, colour by appointment type and unavailable-time blocks, with separate room and class schedule screens. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203258893-Appointments-Booking-multiple-appointments-at-once) |
| [A native app for your team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#staff-app) | **No** — No native app. The dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen and works there, online. No push notifications: the team is told about bookings by email. | **Yes** — Mindbody Business on iOS and Android, free for every subscriber: schedule, check-in, point of sale with Tap to Pay, customers, waitlists and waivers. Mindbody notes that some advanced setup may still be easier on desktop. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/business-app) |
| [Several locations in one account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#multi-location) | **Yes** — Up to 50 locations in one account — a guard against misuse, raised on request — each with its own team, hours, services and booking page. A new location can start from one you have — its services with prices, hours, booking rules, logo and colours and website — and takes the team members you pick. Customers are one list across them, a team member can work at several with one sign-in, and a group dashboard totals them. The free plan covers one location; each location is billed at a base rate. | **Yes** — Multi-location sites share data across locations, with cross-location memberships, reciprocity tracking and corporate, regional and location roles. Each location adds to the bill, and Mindbody notes that not all features are available in all regions or on all tiers. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/multi-location-management) |
| [Roles and permissions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#roles-permissions) | **Yes** — Owner, Manager, Employee and Receptionist ready-made, or build a role and set each permission by hand — including whether someone sees only their own bookings, customers and figures, takes bookings at all, can message customers, or manages billing, which only the owner can give. | **Extra cost** — Starter has pre-set permissions that cannot be edited. Permissions customised per staff group start at Accelerate — in the help centre's words, the Accelerate and Ultimate packages can be individually customised, while other packages contain only pre-set permissions. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/Why-isn-t-this-feature-available) |
| [A history of who changed what](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#change-history) | **Yes** — Activity records changes to bookings, customers, services, resources, the team, time off, blocked time and settings: what changed from what to what, who did it — a team member by name, the customer, or automatic — how and when. Each role sees the history of what it can open, a booking's own history sits in the booking window with what the customer was sent, and it exports to CSV. Kept 24 months, in every account. Not recorded: what a role may do, prices set per team member or category, payment records, billing and add-on records such as vouchers; a note shows as edited, never its words. | **Partly** — For bookings only, in parts: each visit records who scheduled it, the Cancellations report shows who cancelled and when, and an appointment shows only its last modification — date, time and team member — at the bottom of the Modify Appointment screen, a stamp that updates on every save even when nothing changed. Inventory has its own change log. The help centre documents no log of changes to services, settings or customer details, and these screens depend on the software package. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/204402073-Appointments-How-do-I-see-when-an-appointment-was-last-modified-or-checked-out) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [Reports](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reports) | **Yes** — Revenue, bookings, average value and cancellation rate over the last twelve months, charted month by month, with bookings by status, new customers, top services and the team ranked by revenue; per location or across all. A no-show counts as a booking, never as revenue. Website visits shows who came to your website, from where, and how many booked. Forecasting, revenue split, booking sources and payments received are included add-ons. The period is fixed at twelve months. | **Yes** — Starter includes sales, daily closeout, membership, payroll, attendance and first- and last-visit reports, with export to CSV, PDF and Excel. Retention, sales forecast, commission, staff performance, appointment metrics and no-show reports start at Accelerate, sales funnel analytics at Ultimate, and the Insights dashboard is an extra. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/207342557-Which-reports-do-I-have-access-to-Software-Levels-Full-Breakdown) |
| [A leaderboard for the team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#team-leaderboard) | **Yes** — A monthly competition on bookings or revenue that the whole team sees, with a winner per category if you want one, results frozen and emailed on the 1st, and a Hall of fame. Revenue amounts stay hidden from the team unless you show them. Up to three at once, per location. An included add-on. | **Partly** — The Insights app, a paid add-on, has a Leaderboard that ranks locations and team members on sales and supports goals and contests for staff — but Mindbody's article says only the owner or a general manager with the right user level can see those pages. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/Metrics-in-the-Mindbody-Insights-app) |
| [Point of sale, stock and payroll](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#pos-inventory-payroll) | **No** — No point of sale, no stock, no payroll — a walk-in is a booking. The included payment-tracking add-on records what each visit was paid, by cash, card or transfer, with part-payments and tips shared between the people who did the work, and Revenue split works out each team member's share at the percentage you set, month by month. | **Yes** — Point of sale with discounts, tax and split payments, plus contracts, memberships and autopay, on every plan, with basic inventory on Starter and advanced from Accelerate. A payroll report, pay rates, commissions, tips and a time clock, with ADP and Paychex integrations from Accelerate. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203886078-Software-Level-Features-and-Options-Full-Breakdown) |
| [Confirmations and reminders](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reminders) | **Yes** — Confirmations, a reminder the day before at 8:00, two hours before or both — your choice — changes, cancellations and follow-ups by email, all included, in the language the customer booked in. By SMS too with the SMS messages add-on: the add-on is free, and SMS need a paid plan — billed monthly with it, per SMS, capped each month. SMS reach numbers in 14 countries today; Czechia, the US and Canada are coming soon. | **Partly** — Email confirmations and reminders on every plan; text messaging is unavailable on Starter. Two-way text confirmations and reminders start at Accelerate, in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, France and Spain only — Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria are not on the list — with the paid Utility Messages add-on mandatory in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland, and a monthly text bundle included on Ultimate. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/I-m-downgrading-from-or-upgrading-to-Accelerate-and-want-to-know-about-the-difference-in-text-messaging) |
| [Messages with one customer, in one inbox](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#customer-messages) | **Yes** — Messages, in every account: write to one customer from the calendar or their page by email, SMS or both, and read their answer in one inbox, with unread ones marked and the team told by email. Email is included; SMS need the SMS messages add-on on a paid plan, billed per SMS — Czech, US and Canadian numbers coming soon. The customer answers on a page the message links to, not by replying to the email or text, and cannot start a conversation. No WhatsApp. | **Extra cost** — Starter has no text messaging, and Accelerate's two-way texts take only pre-set replies, such as 'C' to confirm, which update the booking. A conversation — staff write to one customer and the reply lands in an inbox the team shares — is Messenger[ai], sold separately, or AI Concierge, included on Ultimate and an add-on on Accelerate, which the help centre says is in beta and not available to all customers. WhatsApp messaging, from Accelerate up and at no extra charge, is one-way in its overview article: automated booking notifications from the business's own WhatsApp Business Account, in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates only, with replies landing in the WhatsApp inbox rather than in Mindbody. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/What-is-1-way-and-2-way-SMS) (read 2026-10-16) |
| [Email and text campaigns](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#marketing-campaigns) | **Partly** — No bulk email or SMS campaigns. Included add-ons instead: a win-back sequence of up to three emails to customers overdue for a visit, judged by their own usual gap, never to anyone with a booking ahead and starting over after their next visit, the later ones with a one-time discount code; promotions and announcements on your booking page and your website, an announcement optionally kept on the booking page for customers who have booked before; and Campaign tracking, which shows which ads and links bring bookings. | **Extra cost** — Nothing on Starter. Campaigns start at Accelerate; automations, win-back, fill-last-minute-openings and fill-slow-days journeys, smart lists, A/B tests and AI-written content are Ultimate, where the pricing page also places email and text marketing, and since December 2025 Attentive email and text marketing is included on Ultimate and Ultimate Plus. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/marketing) |
| [Reviews](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reviews) | **Yes** — Collect a rating and comment after each visit, publish them on your booking page and website when you choose — all of them, never hand-picked — reply in public or privately, and ask every customer, not only the happy ones, for a Google review in the same email. | **Extra cost** — Feedback and Reviews is an Ultimate feature: a rating request by email or text after a visit, NPS tracking, publishing to the booking page or an embeddable widget with auto-publish from 4.5 stars, and an ask to post on Google or Facebook that the customer completes themselves. Every plan has a report of the ratings customers leave in the Mindbody app. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/Setting-up-Feedback-and-Reviews-Frederick) |
| [Gift vouchers, discount codes and promotions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#vouchers-discounts) | **Partly** — Gift vouchers, discount codes, promotions and upsell discounts, all included. No packages or memberships, and vouchers are issued by you rather than sold online. | **Partly** — Prepaid gift cards, contracts, memberships and autopay are on every plan. Promo codes, packages and assignable gift cards start at Accelerate, the rewards and referral programme is Ultimate, and purchases through promoted intro offers and dynamic pricing carry the 20% marketing fee. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203886078-Software-Level-Features-and-Options-Full-Breakdown) |
| [Google or Outlook calendar sync](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#calendar-sync) | **Partly** — Bookings are pushed into one Google Calendar per location as they are made, moved or cancelled. One direction only — Google events do not block your availability — not one calendar per team member, and no Outlook sync. Customers can add their own booking to Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar. | **Partly** — Google Calendar on every plan, but one way only, from Mindbody to Google, and bookings made through the Business app, the branded app, the widgets or the Mindbody app are not reflected unless re-shared. The Business app can sync to the phone's own calendar, and no Outlook integration is documented. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203260713-Google-Calendar-Integration) |
| [Intake and consent forms](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#forms) | **Partly** — A consent checkbox in your own wording, with a link to your privacy policy — each customer's agreement is recorded with the date and the wording they saw — invoice details that can be optional or required, and a notes field. No custom intake forms or questions, and no e-signatures. | **Yes** — Client forms and a liability waiver on every plan, with a required client signature; forms are created on desktop and signatures are collected in the Business app as well. Forms and waivers were merged into one tool in June 2026. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/How-do-I-add-an-electronic-signature-to-Client-Forms) |
| [Your data: export, import, API](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#data-portability) | **Partly** — Export bookings, customers and the activity log to CSV whenever you like. No import tool yet — customers from another tool are added one at a time or as they book — and no public API. | **Partly** — You own your data under the terms and reports export to CSV, PDF and Excel, but the client directory has no built-in export — copy and paste, 1,000 rows at a time, or the mailing-lists report — and a public API exists only through a separate developer account, billed per call. Mindbody imports your data at onboarding; after cancellation, data is available for no more than 30 days and a bulk export costs extra. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/How-do-I-cancel-my-MINDBODY-subscription) |
| [Support](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#support) | **Yes** — Email support, included, with the documentation at bookodile.com/docs behind it, and AI Chat in the dashboard, which answers how-to questions from that documentation and from your own settings. A new business is walked through its setup in AI Chat right after signing up — its services, texts and website — at no cost. No phone line, and no chat with a person. | **Yes** — Every plan includes one-to-one onboarding and setup support at no additional cost, with no onboarding fee, and the pricing page's FAQ says the team can be reached 'by phone, chat, or email 24/7'. The help centre's contact article starts with the AI Assistant inside the product, which hands over to a case by email, a live chat 'available in certain situations', or a call-back request; it publishes no phone number or hours. Premium implementation, custom data conversion and Technical Account Management are priced separately. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/pricing) (read 2026-10-17) |

## [Where Mindbody is stronger](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strengths)

- **[Assistants that make the setup change you describe](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-assistants-that-make-the-setup-change-you-describe)** — On the classes, appointments and staff pages, you describe what you want and an assistant makes the change: several classes, appointment types or staff at once, bulk edits to names, durations, pricing options and who does what, or new records from a spreadsheet. Each works on its own page, and none moves a booking. Bookodile's AI Chat sets up and changes bookings from one place, but it does not create records from a spreadsheet.
- **[A marketplace that sends new customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-a-marketplace-that-sends-new-customers)** — The Mindbody app has more than 3 million active users, and Mindbody says a first purchase is made from a business found in the app more than 22,000 times a month; Reserve with Google and the ClassPass network sit beside it. Bookodile has no marketplace and no consumer app. Your booking page carries only your business, and new customers arrive through your own link.
- **[It takes the money, runs memberships and the till](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-it-takes-the-money-runs-memberships-and-the-till)** — Mindbody Payments in the EU, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the US, with card readers, direct debit, autopay memberships and contracts, no-show fees from Accelerate, a point of sale, inventory and payroll reports. Bookodile does not process payments, sells no memberships and has no point of sale; its payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid.
- **[Built for classes](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-built-for-classes)** — Capacity with online and total limits set separately, a class waitlist that adds the first person automatically, courses and enrolments, Pick-a-Spot seat maps from Accelerate, and livestream and on-demand video as add-ons. Bookodile runs events with a capacity, and a recurring class as a service on a resource with a capacity — no seat maps, no video.
- **[Native apps, and one in your own name](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-native-apps-and-one-in-your-own-name)** — A staff app on iOS and Android, a consumer app with the same reach, and a branded app in your own name as an add-on on Accelerate and Ultimate. Bookodile's dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen; customers book in the browser.
- **[Support that picks up the phone, and more languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-support-that-picks-up-the-phone-and-more-languages)** — One-to-one onboarding and support are included on every plan, and Mindbody's pricing page says its team answers by phone, chat or email, 24/7; inside the product, help starts with an AI assistant that hands over to a case, a live chat or a call-back. The website widgets come in 22 languages including Czech and German. Bookodile's support is by email, with AI Chat in the dashboard for how-to questions, and its booking page has 17 languages — Slovak and Vietnamese among them, which Mindbody does not offer.
- **[An AI front desk that answers missed calls](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-an-ai-front-desk-that-answers-missed-calls)** — AI Concierge texts a customer back after a missed call, answers questions by web chat and text from the business's own services, prices and availability, and books, reschedules and cancels — with every conversation in one inbox where staff can step in or write to a customer themselves. It is included on Ultimate and an add-on on Accelerate, and the help centre says it is in beta and not yet available to all customers. Bookodile's AI Chat works for your team, not your customers, and its Messages go by email, or by SMS with the SMS messages add-on on a paid plan — US and Canadian numbers coming soon — with the customer answering on a page the message links to.
- **[A website its team builds and looks after](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-a-website-its-team-builds-and-looks-after)** — Every Mindbody plan includes a Customized Website that Mindbody's team builds from your logo, colours and content, launches — in 3–5 business days at the fastest, 2–3 weeks on average — and maintains, on a domain it buys for you or one you own. Bookodile's website is included in every account, built from your booking setup and changed by you, by asking in your own words or by hand, and it can sit on a domain you already own at no cost; no one at Bookodile designs it for you. Mindbody's is changed on request, before launch and then quarterly, and Slovakia and the Czech Republic are not among the 31 countries its page names.

## Notes for anyone selling Bookodile

These are the claims not to make against Mindbody, because they are not true:

- Do not say Mindbody has no dark mode on its booking surfaces. Nothing is published either way; only the staff app's dark mode is documented.
- Do not quote any United States price for Mindbody beyond the one its pricing page gives — the entry plan 'starting at $79 USD/month' for North America and Asia. The $99 to $159 Starter, $259 to $279 Accelerate, $499 Ultimate and $699 Ultimate Plus figures are third-party reports, Accelerate and Ultimate are quoted by sales, and no price for the branded app is published. Quote the EU, UK and Australian prices on its own pages as they are.
- Do not quote a United States percentage rate for Mindbody Payments. The pricing page gives only the fixed part, $0.10 to $0.30 per transaction in North America and Asia, the help centre says to email for US rates, and the 2.99% and 3.60% figures come from third parties.
- Do not say Mindbody requires a 24-month contract. Its terms describe a 90-day initial term followed by 30-day terms, and its blog describes fixed 12, 24 or 36-month terms as an option by plan, not a requirement.
- Do not say Mindbody has no free trial as a fact. Its own site says nothing about one, and review sites disagree with each other. Say that none is published.
- Do not say Mindbody takes a commission on every booking. The 20% fee applies to a new client's first purchase through the Mindbody app or the Affiliate Network, once per client; bookings through your own site carry no fee.
- Do not say Mindbody cannot book two services with two people. Consumer Mode Book Multiple does, as independent appointments, where support has enabled it. Say what the help centre says about it and no more.
- Do not claim Bookodile is cheaper for a large team at one location. Mindbody's price is per location with unlimited users; Bookodile's follows active booking spots. Put both bills side by side for the real headcount.
- Do not repeat review-site complaints about price rises, cancellation or support as facts about the product.
- Do not imply Bookodile takes card payments, deposits, no-show fees or memberships. Mindbody does; Bookodile does not.
- Do not say Mindbody keeps no record of who changed a booking. Its help centre documents who scheduled and who cancelled each visit and an appointment's last modification; it documents no log of changes to services or settings, which is not the same as having none.

## [Common questions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq)

**[Is Mindbody free?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-is-mindbody-free)**

No. There is no free plan and no free trial on Mindbody's site. The entry plan starts at $79 USD a month per location in North America and Asia, Starter at €99 in the EU and £89 in the UK, Australia's entry plan, Go, is A$89, and the first 90 days are a minimum term. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every add-on included — SMS aside, which need a paid plan — for as long as that holds.

**[Can I move my customers from Mindbody to Bookodile?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-can-i-move-my-customers-from-mindbody-to-bookodile)**

Mindbody's client directory has no built-in export; the help centre suggests copying and pasting up to 1,000 rows at a time or running the mailing-lists report, and after you cancel your data is available for no more than 30 days, with a bulk export at extra cost. Bookodile does not yet import a customer file. Customers are created the first time they book, so the list rebuilds itself as regulars return, and your team can add anyone by hand.

**[Does Bookodile take payments, deposits and memberships like Mindbody?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-does-bookodile-take-payments-deposits-and-memberships-like-mindbody)**

No. Bookodile does not process payments, hold a card on file, take deposits, charge no-show fees or sell memberships. Payment stays between you and your customer, however you already handle it, and the payment-tracking add-on records what arrived.

**[Which languages can my customers book in?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-which-languages-can-my-customers-book-in)**

Mindbody's website widgets come in 22 languages, including Czech and German, but not Slovak or Vietnamese, and its consumer app is in English and Spanish. Bookodile's booking page comes in 17 languages, Slovak and Vietnamese among them: each location has a main language and can add up to seven more, which customers switch between on the page, separately from the language you read your dashboard in. Its wording in the 13 beyond English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese was written by AI and has not yet been read by a native speaker.

**[What happens to my Mindbody app listing and Reserve with Google?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-what-happens-to-my-mindbody-app-listing-and-reserve-with-google)**

Both are Mindbody channels and end with the subscription. Bookodile has no marketplace and no Reserve with Google integration; your booking link goes into your Google Business profile, your bio and your website like any other link, and a QR code is generated for print. Campaign tracking, an included add-on, gives ready-tagged links for Google, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and counts the bookings each one brings. Customers who found you through the Mindbody app will need your new link.

**[How does the pricing compare for a business with three people?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-how-does-the-pricing-compare-for-a-business-with-three-people)**

On Mindbody, three people at one location cost the same as one: the price is per location with unlimited users, so in the EU that is Starter from €99 a month — without rooms, promo codes, text messages or editable permissions. On Bookodile, three people who each take bookings at the same time are three booking spots, which is above the free tier; the figure for your country is on the pricing page. If only two of them can work at once, that is two spots.

## Who Mindbody is for

Mindbody is an all-in-one platform for fitness, wellness and beauty
businesses, and for the franchises above them. Its navigation runs from gyms
and yoga studios through spas to salons and barbershops, and the product is
built for the whole business rather than the diary: classes with capacity,
memberships with autopay, a point of sale, inventory, payroll, integrated
payments, a marketing suite, and a consumer app with more than 3 million active
users that lists you beside your neighbours. It is United States first, but it
is sold in euros across the EU, with Mindbody Payments available in Slovakia
and the Czech Republic.

Bookodile is a booking system, not a back office. It is for a business where
the people are not interchangeable, where a room or a piece of equipment is the
real limit on what can be taken, where one visit can involve two people, and
where nobody wants a contract, a plan ladder or a customer account standing
between a customer and a booking. Those are the rows where the two products
differ most.

## The pricing model, in practice

Mindbody charges per location per month with unlimited users, so adding people
is free and adding a location is not. In North America and Asia the entry plan
starts at $79 USD a month per location; in the EU, Starter starts at €99; the
UK page says £89; Australia sells Go, Core and Growth at A$89, A$279 and A$369.
Accelerate and Ultimate are quoted by sales, so there is no full US price list
on the site, and there is no free plan and no published free trial.

The contract is the part to read before the price. The terms set a 90-day
initial term, then 30-day terms that renew unless either side gives 30 days'
notice; Mindbody's own blog describes fixed terms of 12, 24 or 36 months as an
option by plan. Fees are non-refundable, ending early leaves the whole term
payable, and a locked price can rise at the next renewal. A new client's first
purchase through the Mindbody app costs a further 20%, capped at 30 in local
currency, and the plan ladder is real: Starter has no rooms, no promo codes,
no text messages and no editable permissions.

Bookodile charges per location plus per booking spot that actually took a
booking that month, with every feature and add-on included at every price —
SMS aside, which need a paid plan and are billed per SMS, capped each month —
and it is free at one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a
month.
There is no minimum term. The figures for your country are on
[the pricing page](/pricing) and the model is explained in
[What Bookodile costs](/docs/what-bookodile-costs).

Which is cheaper depends on shape. A single location with many people who all
take bookings at once may pay less on Mindbody's flat per-location price than
on a per-spot one; a small business, or one with several locations, usually
will not. Put the two bills side by side for your real headcount, remembering
that the Mindbody bill is Starter's, which is missing the rows above.

## Two services, two people

This is the row worth reading Mindbody's own articles on: it has three
mechanisms near it, and none is quite it.

The first is appointment add-ons. An add-on attaches a second service to one
appointment, and the help centre is precise about what that means: add-ons are
not separate appointments, they enhance the primary appointment without
extending its length, and a customer can add one online only when the same
staff member offers the main appointment and the add-on.

The second is Consumer Mode Book Multiple. On the consumer site, a signed-in
customer can add several appointment types, each with any staff or a named team
member, and book them all at once for the same day. Because each is an
independent appointment, each team member is blocked only for their own — the
closest Mindbody comes to the Bookodile behaviour. The same article lists the
conditions: the feature is not available on all Mindbody sites and is switched
on by support; it cannot be used with appointment waitlists, direct staff links
or booking for someone else; and it lives on the consumer site, not in the
widgets or the apps. The article does not say whether the second appointment
is placed to start when the first ends. This page does not guess.

The third, prep and finish time, frees the middle of a long service so that
the same team member can take a short appointment during it; the help centre
says it is not meant to add a buffer between appointments.

In Bookodile the same thing is a combo service: one stage with one person and a
second with another, as parts of one booking. Each stage carries its own team
member, its own duration and its own room if it needs one, and each person is
blocked only for their stage. The customer books once and receives one
confirmation.

## Switching from Mindbody

- **The contract first.** Check your order form for the term you are in; the
help centre says cancellation needs at least 30 days' notice, is not
available in the first 90 days, and is made by the account's Data Owner.
- **Customers.** Mindbody's client directory has no built-in export; copy and
paste up to 1,000 rows at a time, or run the mailing-lists report, before
you cancel — afterwards the data is available for no more than 30 days and a
bulk export costs extra. Bookodile has no import tool yet; customers are
created the first time they book.
- **Bookings.** Bookodile does not import them; run both side by side until
the Mindbody schedule empties, then switch the link.
- **Memberships, packages and gift cards.** These carry balances. Bookodile has
gift vouchers and discount codes but no memberships or packages, so any
outstanding balance needs its own plan.
- **Your booking link, the Mindbody app and Reserve with Google.** The listing
  and the Google integration end with the subscription. Bookodile has neither;
every place the old link lives — Google Business profile, bio, website —
gets the new one, and a QR code is generated for the counter.
- **Payments.** If you take payments, deposits or autopay through Mindbody,
you will need a separate way to do that. Bookodile records payments; it does
  not take them.

## Where each one fits

Choose Mindbody if you sell memberships and classes, want payments, a point of
sale and payroll in one system, want a consumer app and a marketplace sending
new customers, want a branded app of your own, or need a booking page in a
language Bookodile does not have.

Choose Bookodile if you want a booking system with no plan ladder, no minimum
term and a free tier, if your customers should book without an account, if your
people are priced differently, if a room or a piece of equipment limits what
you can take, if one visit can involve two people, or if your customers read
Slovak or Vietnamese.
