Comparison

Bookodile vs Altegio

Altegio is a European booking and business-management system priced by team size, with payments, stock, payroll, loyalty and a client app in the same product. Bookodile bills each location and the booking spots that actually take bookings, includes every add-on on every account (SMS need a paid plan), and is free to start.

Bookodile or Altegio: what matters most#

Bookodile

A free plan, not a trial — with every feature#

Start free and stay free: one location, two booking spots, 40 bookings a month, and every feature and add-on, the website and AI Chat included. Only SMS need a paid plan, because each one is billed.

Altegio

No free plan: a seven-day trial, then a paid plan.

Bookodile

A website you build with AI — on your own domain, free#

Tell AI Chat what you want and it builds your website with you. The first draft comes in moments, made from your services, prices, team, hours and reviews, in a design you choose. Then just say what to change: “make it feel warmer”, “bring over the words from my old site”, “rewrite our About text”. Photo galleries sort into categories you name, and a category linked to a service gets its own Book button. Prices and opening hours stay in step with your bookings. Your own domain connects at no cost, and nothing goes public until you publish.

Altegio

Only through the partner Promtys, from $29 a month paid separately: its AI chat edits the site, and Altegio's services and booking are imported into it.

Bookodile

AI Chat — an AI assistant that helps with everything you need#

Ask in your own words, typed or spoken, and AI Chat does the work. It sets up services, prices, the team and opening hours. It writes your bios and service descriptions and builds your website. It blocks out a holiday and hands those bookings to a colleague, moves bookings, and tells you what tomorrow holds and who changed what. Every change comes with Undo, in every account, the free one included.

Altegio

No assistant inside Altegio; its MCP servers let your own ChatGPT or Claude change bookings, the team and services, which may need a separate subscription.

Bookodile

Two people, one visit — each blocked only for their part#

A visit can give each part its own team member, time and room, back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own part, and your team moves the whole visit in one step.

Altegio

Two people in one visit need a 4HANDS+ package, and a sequential package can be provided by only one team member.

These are only the main ones. See the full comparison, feature by feature

Why businesses switch from Altegio#

Nothing is free, and the smallest licence is two people#

Altegio gives you seven days with everything in it, then a paid licence sized by team members, and the smallest licence is priced for up to two; a website for the business comes through a partner, Promtys, from $29 a month before VAT, paid to Promtys. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every add-on included — SMS aside, which need a paid plan — and a website built from your booking setup, and it is a plan you stay on rather than a trial that ends.

You pay for spots that took bookings, not for people who have a schedule#

Altegio counts a team member as billable once they provide services and have a work schedule, or once their role can edit anything, so a receptionist who books and takes payments counts too, busy month or quiet. Bookodile counts booking spots that actually took a booking that month — two people taking turns at one station are one spot, a quiet month costs less, and an owner or receptionist who takes no bookings costs nothing.

Two people in one visit, without building a package first#

Altegio creates a multi-service booking only when one team member can do every service in it. Putting two people in one visit means building a service package first, a customer can book one package per booking with nothing added, and packages are not yet available on every account. For two people one after another, the package article says a sequential package can at the moment be provided by only one team member, it does not say how each person's time is blocked, and moving one booking in a package means moving each linked booking too. A Bookodile combo gives every stage its own team member, duration and room back to back, each person blocked only for their part, and staff move the whole visit in one step, with the times that fit everyone in it shown first.

A waiting list that fills the gap by itself#

Altegio's waiting list is a reception tool: staff record a request and book it by hand when a slot frees up, and its own help centre says customers cannot join it online and nothing tells a customer when a slot opens. Bookodile's customers cannot join from the booking page either — your team adds them — but when a booking is cancelled the time is offered automatically by email to whoever has waited longest for that service, with three hours to confirm, and confirming books them in without anyone at the business touching it.

Reviews that also ask for a Google review#

Altegio asks for a review once a visit is marked Arrived and shows the result in its own booking widget beside the team member; its help centre lists reviews on map services as a separately paid app from a third party. Bookodile collects the review, lets you publish it on your booking page and your website and reply in public or privately, and asks every customer, not only the happy ones, for a Google review in the same email — the one that shows up where new customers are actually looking.

A leaderboard the team can see#

Altegio's per-team-member figures are reports — sales by team member, workload, performance over time — each opened only by roles given that permission, and nothing published describes a ranking or a winner. Bookodile runs a monthly competition on bookings or revenue that the whole team watches, with a winner per category if you want one, results frozen and emailed on the 1st, and a Hall of fame — and revenue amounts stay hidden from the team unless you choose to show them.

What each one costs#

Bookodile

A base rate per location plus a rate per booking spot that actually took a booking that month, in country bands. No commission, no per-booking fee, no feature sold separately — only SMS, if you send them, are billed per SMS.

Show prices for
  • One location with three booking spots costs $68 a month.
  • Free at 1 location, up to 2 booking spots and 40 bookings a month — every add-on included; SMS need a paid plan.

Altegio

Priced by the number of team members and the length of the licence. The pricing page detects the visitor's country and shows that country's price in its own currency, before tax; there is no country picker. The licence counts billable team members: anyone who provides services and has a work schedule, or whose role includes any editing right. View-only and system-manager access is free. Licences are prepaid for one, three, six or twelve months, with one, three and nine bonus months on the longer terms, and the smallest licence covers up to two team members. A help-centre notice records a price rise on 1 February 2025, together with the minimum prepayment falling from three months to one and the minimum licence from three team members to two. The trial is seven days with every feature and no card. The pricing page says plans differ only in term and team size, with the full feature set on every plan. The billing article adds that payment systems, SMS providers and similar third-party integrations charge for their own service. On first load the page shows prices with a 30%-off promo code for purchases made during the trial already deducted. The figures below are the prices with that switched off, as the English page displayed them for each country.

Pricing#

A free plan that stays free#

Not a trial: a plan a small business can stay on.

Bookodile

Yes

Free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every feature and add-on — SMS aside, which need a paid plan. Not a trial — a plan a small business stays on. A paid plan starts with 14 days free rather than a charge. More

Altegio

No

A seven-day trial with every feature and no card; when it ends nothing is charged and nothing is deleted until a licence is bought. The smallest licence covers up to two team members. No plan that a business stays on for nothing is published. Source

No commission on bookings#

No cut of a booking, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge.

Bookodile

Yes

No commission, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge. The bill is the subscription, plus any SMS you send with the SMS messages add-on, billed per SMS and capped each month. More

Altegio

Yes

The pricing page says the price is set only by team size and licence term, with zero percent commission on appointments, no per-appointment fee and no cap on appointments. Source

Every feature included#

Nothing sold separately — text bundles, marketing, forms, a branded app, extra locations.

Bookodile

Partly

Every feature and add-on is included — reminders, reviews, vouchers, the waiting list, forecasting, Messages, AI Chat and the website with your own domain. The one thing billed by use is SMS: the SMS messages add-on is free, and each SMS is billed monthly with a paid plan at a price per country, never more a month than a cap that starts at the plan's own price. Each location is billed at a base rate. More

Altegio

Partly

The billing article says every subscription has all of Altegio's functionality, with no separate modules to buy, and that payment systems, SMS providers and similar third-party integrations charge for their own service. Two more things sit outside the licence, on other Altegio pages: WhatsApp notifications from Altegio's own number, paid from a balance that the Notification Sender article says is topped up separately for each location, and a mobile app under the business's own brand, which the pricing page lists as on request, with a quote. Source

The same features on every plan#

No capability reserved for a higher tier.

Bookodile

Partly

One plan, with free limits: every account, including a free one, has every feature and add-on. The one exception is SMS, which need a paid plan, because each one is billed on its invoice. More

Altegio

Yes

The billing article says all Altegio functionality is available on every subscription, with no separate modules and no limit on clients or appointments, and the price depends only on team size and period. The one difference by size it records is priority support, included when a licence covers seven or more team members. Source

No minimum term or cancellation fee#

Bookodile

Yes

Monthly, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. There is no yearly plan. More

Altegio

Partly

Licences are prepaid for one, three, six or twelve months. The licence agreement says a fee already paid is not refunded when the business ends the agreement without a breach on Altegio's side, and either party may end it with seven calendar days' written notice. No cancellation fee is published. Source

Processes your customers' card payments#

Takes the customer's money at booking or at the till.

Bookodile

No

Bookodile does not take your customers' money. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; payment stays between you and the customer. More

Altegio

Yes

The help centre's Digital payments section — 'online prepayments, payment links and digital checkout' that let customers pay for visits before they arrive — covers prepayment for visits, payment links and a QR code, payment policies in deposit or card-guarantee mode, and online sales of memberships and gift cards, with setup guides for Adyen, Stripe and VivaWallet and for regional providers and methods in Ukraine and Brazil. Altegio's pricing page quotes Adyen processing through Altegio 'from 0.99% + 0.20 € per transaction', with rates depending on country and payment method; its Adyen integration page gives that as the base rate for Visa and Mastercard cards in the European Economic Area, with the full terms in the merchant agreement. Adyen is offered only where the country and business type are eligible. Source

Taking bookings#

A hosted booking page#

Bookodile

Yes

bookodile.com/your-business, with your logo, colour, services — each with its photo, when you add one — and hours. One page per location. More

Altegio

Yes

Booking links — a general one for the whole business, or one for a service category or a single team member — each open a hosted booking form that can be shared on social media or in messengers. Source

Booking on your own website#

An embedded widget or button, not just a link.

Bookodile

Yes

One snippet embeds the whole flow in any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — inline or behind a Book-now button in your brand colour. A QR code is generated for print. More

Altegio

Yes

Five documented shapes: a standard booking button whose colour, animation and position can be changed, a custom button of your own, the booking form embedded in a page as a block, separate forms for each team member or service, and several widgets on one page. Source

Customers book without an account or an app#

Bookodile

Yes

The customer gives only the details you require — a name, and an email, a phone number or both. No account, no app, no password. My Bookings, a web page they sign in to with an emailed code or Google, shows every booking they hold, if they want it. More

Altegio

Yes

Signing in, with a text-message code, is for the widget's personal account, where a customer reschedules, cancels and sees loyalty balances. Booking asks for a confirmation code only if the business turns on text verification of the phone number, which needs a text-message provider or chatbot connected. Source

Several services in one booking#

Bookodile

Partly

Combo services chain stages into one booking, and the extras you configure are offered during booking, in more than one round. Customers do not pick arbitrary pairs from the catalogue — you decide which combinations exist. More

Altegio

Yes

A customer can choose several services in one online booking, but the help centre says the booking is created only if one and the same team member can perform all of them; services assigned to different team members need a service package instead. Source

Back-to-back services with different team members#

Each person is blocked only for their own part, not for the whole visit.

Bookodile

Yes

Each stage of a combo can have its own team member, its own duration and its own room, booked back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own stage, never for the whole visit. Staff move the whole visit in one step, with the times that fit every person in it shown first. More

Altegio

Partly

Service packages, called 4HANDS+, hold 2 to 10 services delivered simultaneously by several team members, one after another by one, or one after another by several, and a customer can book one in the widget — one package per booking, with nothing added. The settings section describes a sequence with different team members, but the calendar section says a sequential package can at the moment be provided by only one team member, and neither says whether each person is blocked only for their own stage. The article says packages are not yet available on every account. Source

Rooms, chairs and equipment as bookable resources#

With a capacity, and bookable without a person.

Bookodile

Yes

Rooms, chairs and equipment with a capacity and their own hours. A service can need a resource alone, a person alone, or both, and capacity is enforced when the booking is made. A service linked to several takes whichever one is free; a booking never holds two at once. Each one is open to anyone who does its services, or kept for named people when it belongs to them — three juniors share a chair while the master has his own. More

Altegio

Partly

Rooms, tables and equipment are resources attached to services, and a free instance of each is reserved automatically on every booking, so a service cannot be booked when none is left. Customers never see or book a resource directly, and a booking with a resource but no team member is not described. Source

Classes and events with a capacity#

Bookodile

Yes

Events with a capacity and a registration list for one-off things; a recurring class is a service on a resource with a capacity, so it fills up and stops. More

Altegio

Yes

A service is set as an Appointment or a Group event, and a Group event carries a group capacity. A customer can pay for a group event online or book it with a membership, and prepayment for a group event is always the full price. Source

A different price per team member#

Bookodile

Yes

A service can be priced per team member, or per category such as Junior and Senior. The customer sees each person's price as they choose who, and the category's name too if you show it. More

Altegio

Yes

A service carries a base price plus an individual price per team member, set from the service's settings or from the team member's Services tab, and shown in the calendar and the booking widget. Source

A different duration per team member#

Bookodile

Yes

A service can take a different time per team member. Leave someone blank and they use the service's own duration. More

Altegio

Yes

The service's duration is the default when a team member is assigned to it, and a different duration can be set for each team member. Source

Buffer time that blocks the calendar#

Bookodile

Yes

Each service can have its own buffer after it, up to 120 minutes, which blocks the person and any resource it used. Enforced on the booking page and in the booking API. More

Altegio

Yes

A technical break after an appointment, from 0 to 1 hour in 5-minute steps, set for every service at once or per service and capped at 1 hour across one appointment; where a booking holds several services, a setting chooses the longest break or the sum. Customers do not see it, but the times offered online allow for it. The article says technical breaks are not yet available on every account. Source

A waiting list with automatic offers#

A cancellation is offered to whoever is waiting, without you doing anything.

Bookodile

Yes

Your team adds customers to the list; they cannot join it from the booking page. When a booking is cancelled, the time is offered automatically by email to whoever has waited longest for that service, with three hours to confirm — or until the time starts, if sooner — and confirming books them straight in. If nobody confirms, it goes to the next person waiting for that service within about ten minutes, as long as the time is still ahead and still free. More

Altegio

Partly

A waiting list for staff in the Appointment Calendar: a request records the customer, the services, preferred team members and acceptable times, and staff book it by hand when a slot frees up. The article lists what this first version does not do: customers cannot join through online booking, and nothing notifies a customer automatically when a slot opens. Source

Recurring bookings#

Bookodile

Partly

Your team can repeat a booking of one service from the calendar — weekly, every two weeks or monthly, up to 52 visits — and cancel one visit or the whole series. A combo or a booking with add-ons cannot be repeated. Customers cannot book a recurring appointment themselves. More

Altegio

Yes

A Repeat appointment tab creates a repeating series from a named template, with a frequency, a start date and time, and either a maximum number of repeats or an end date, with or without the customer. The article describes staff creating it. Source

Booking rules#

Minimum notice, how far ahead, approval, cancellation window, slot spacing.

Bookodile

Yes

Minimum notice (up to 72 hours), how far ahead (up to 365 days), start times every 5 to 60 minutes, auto-confirm or your approval, and a cancellation window (up to 168 hours) with late cancellation allowed or not — one set of rules per location. More

Altegio

Yes

Fixed, Optimal or Dynamic slots; a booking interval from 5 minutes to 7 hours in 5-minute steps; minimum notice from 30 minutes to 24 hours; days closed to online booking; and different rules by weekday — for the whole location or for one team member. Source

Customers cancel or reschedule themselves#

Bookodile

Yes

Customers reschedule or cancel themselves from the link in their confirmation and reminder emails, or in My Bookings, outside your cancellation window, and can tell you why. A reschedule moves the whole visit in one step to a free time with the same team members and price, and the customer's calendar event moves with it. Inside the window they cannot reschedule online, and can cancel only if you allow late cancellations, once they accept they may be charged. More

Altegio

Yes

Customers reschedule or cancel online up to a cutoff the business sets in 15-minute steps, at most 48 hours before the visit. When a prepaid booking is cancelled, the refund is made by hand. Source

Deposits and no-show protection#

Bookodile

No

No card on file and no deposits, because Bookodile does not process payments. A no-show is marked on the booking and counted on the customer's record, never charged. You can let customers cancel late once they accept you may charge them; collecting it is up to you. More

Altegio

Yes

Payment policies: a deposit paid at booking with any connected payment system, or, with Adyen only, a card linked at booking and charged only if the rules are broken. After a free cancellation window, a late cancellation or a no-show keeps the deposit or charges the fee to the card; staff can waive it where the business allows that, and a no-show left undecided at midnight is charged automatically. Source

Extras offered while booking#

Bookodile

Yes

Extras are offered while booking, per service or per category, in up to several rounds, with an optional discount for adding them. A service can be offered only as an extra, off the list of services. More

Altegio

Partly

No add-on step is documented. A free promo block can advertise an offer on the service and team-member selection screens of the booking form, and service packages sell several services together at a package price. Source

What customers see#

A website for your business#

More than a booking page: pages for your services, team and story, made for you, on a domain of your own.

Bookodile

Yes

Included in every account, the free one too. Built from your booking setup — services, prices, team, hours and reviews stay in step with it — with templates (switching one keeps every page, or takes a template whole with its texts rewritten for your business from your setup), one page or several in any of them, your own look, extra pages, languages, your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube as icons in the footer, and a photo gallery in categories you name — a category linked to a service opens its photos with that service's price and a Book button — photos made or enhanced with AI, changed by asking in your own words — pointing at any part of it on the preview — or by hand, typing straight onto the page and moving, copying or changing its sections where you see them, on a computer or a phone, and nothing public until you publish. An old website comes over by asking: its pages rebuilt as sections, with their own words and photos. It starts at yourname.bookodile.com; connect a domain you already own, at no cost, and it moves to www.yourbusiness.com. Every Book button opens your booking page at bookodile.com/your-business — the one under each team member with that person already chosen — and a Website visits report counts who came, from where, and how many booked, without cookies. Running promotions, upcoming events and announcements show on it too, and update themselves as they start and end. No blog, no online shop, and no code of your own. More

Altegio

Extra cost

Through Promtys, a partner's AI website builder connected from Altegio's integrations. It generates a multi-page website from a template and imports Altegio's services, contacts and online booking; from then on the business edits it by typing to Promtys's AI assistant — texts, banners, images, colours, sections and whole pages, with undo — or in the WordPress dashboard behind it. Whether imported details stay in step after later changes in Altegio is not stated. It runs on a free yourname.app.promtys.com address or on the business's own domain, connected with DNS records, with a custom domain and SSL in every Promtys plan. From $29 a month before VAT, after a trial of 14 days or until its free AI tokens run out, paid to Promtys. Altegio's own booking page is the hosted-booking-page row. Source

Makes and improves your photos with AI#

Inside the product: make a picture for your website or profile from a description, or improve one you took — its light, its background, what is in it. Stock photos, ordinary filters, a background remover alone, or AI images only for social posts are partly.

Bookodile

Yes

Included in every account, the free one too, up to 30 photos a month per account, each try counted. Take a photo on your phone and Enhance it, a team member's or a service's too: in your own words in any language, with ideas for your kind of business, by picking a look from pictures, or by putting a person or finished work into a photo of your own place, with before and after to compare. Create a photo from a description for a place on your website that has none — the top of a page, a service's cover, a card, or your gallery — in your own photo style. Then say what should change, like "remove the hand" or "clear the background", and it edits that photo, keeping every version. AI Chat can make several at once. You choose each one, and nothing is public until you publish. It works on your website's photos: it will not make a person's face, your team's portraits or the outside of your place, because customers should see the real ones. More

Altegio

Not published

Not published. Altegio's page on its Promtys website builder has the business change a site's pictures by chat, attaching 'your own photo or banner', and does not describe making a picture from a description or improving a photo; its listed AI integrations are messaging assistants, analytics and MCP servers, none of them for photos.

Listed in a consumer marketplace#

A directory where customers find you — and your competitors beside you.

Bookodile

No

No marketplace. Your booking page carries only your business, and no competitor is shown beside you — which also means it sends you no new customers.

Altegio

No

Altegio states the absence as a position: its help centre says customers book through your own website, social media, maps or a personal link, and you do not compete inside someone else's catalogue. Its free customer app shows a customer only the businesses they have booked with. Source

An app for customers#

Bookodile

No

No consumer app to download. Customers book in the browser. My Bookings, a web page they sign in to with an emailed code or Google, lists every booking they hold with any Bookodile business; there they cancel, keep their details up to date and can turn off a business's SMS. More

Altegio

Yes

Altegio.me is a free app where customers see their bookings at businesses they have booked with, cancel, reschedule or repeat them, keep memberships and gift cards, and receive push notifications. An app under the business's own brand is offered separately. Source

Booking page languages#

What your customers read.

Bookodile

Yes

The booking page, the embedded widget and every email about a booking come in 17 languages: English, Slovak, Czech, Vietnamese, German, Hungarian, Polish, Ukrainian, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Romanian, Croatian, Slovenian and Chinese. Each location has a main language — English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese — and can add up to seven more, from the same list as its website. With more than one, the booking page shows a language switch and opens in the customer's own language when the location offers it (from the link, their last choice or their browser), otherwise in the main one. Every email and SMS about a booking goes out in the language it was made in; SMS in Ukrainian or Chinese go out in English, because they would not fit one SMS, while their emails and booking page stay in that language. Service names, descriptions, team bios and the location's other texts are translated automatically by AI, and the owner can correct any translation; names are never translated. The booking page's own wording in the 13 languages beyond English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese was written by AI and has not yet been read by a native speaker. What your customers read and what you read in the dashboard are separate settings. More

Altegio

Yes

The help centre lists 23 languages for the booking widget, the mobile widget and the social-media booking apps, among them Slovak, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Croatian, Serbian, Bulgarian and Turkish. The widget's default applies to new customers, and a signed-in customer keeps their own choice. Vietnamese is not on the list. Source

Your business's time zone, shown correctly#

Bookodile

Yes

Every time is shown in the business's own zone, including on your dashboard. A customer in another zone sees both clocks before they confirm. Locations in different zones each keep their own; the group's combined monthly totals count on one clock. Each location writes its times on a 24-hour or a 12-hour clock (2:30 PM) — its country's until you pick one — on the booking page, in emails and SMS, on the website and in the dashboard alike. More

Altegio

Yes

Time zone is one of a location's general system settings, beside country, industry, time format and language. Source

Branding#

Logo, colour, custom CSS, custom domain.

Bookodile

Partly

Your own domain, at no cost: connect one you already own and your website moves to www.yourbusiness.com (the website row). The booking page its Book buttons open stays at bookodile.com/your-business, and the widget puts the same booking inside any other site you run, on that site's domain. Your logo, a second logo for dark backgrounds, a logo that links back to your own website, your brand colour with a contrast check, and announcements along the top of your booking page and your website. No custom CSS. More

Altegio

Partly

A light or dark theme, any colour for buttons and icons from a palette or a HEX value, defaulting to #060F07, with a contrast check that refuses to save a shade too faint to read, and a logo and a 16:9 image on the widget's first screen. The personal domain is a short address on altegio.me or rsrv.ws, not a domain of the business's own. No custom CSS is documented. Source

Dark mode on the booking page#

Bookodile

Yes

The hosted page follows the customer's device, and a sun-and-moon button lets them switch; My Bookings keeps the same choice. Your brand colour is adjusted to stay visible on dark. The embedded widget stays light on purpose, so it matches the website it sits in. More

Altegio

Yes

The widget's design settings offer a light and a dark theme, chosen by the business for each booking link. Source

Book buttons on Google, Instagram and Facebook#

Bookodile

No

No Reserve with Google or Instagram integration. Your booking link, bookodile.com/your-business, goes in your Google profile, your bio or a post like any link. Campaign tracking, an included add-on, gives ready-tagged links for Google, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and counts the bookings each one brings.

Altegio

Yes

The booking widget connects to Google Maps, Instagram and Facebook as well as a website; the help centre's example is a customer who finds the business on Google Maps and books without going to its website or calling. Source

On from the start, once an automatic check of the business name passes — normally within minutes: your booking page is in the sitemap search engines read, under your business's name, with your own description and address as the snippet, and Bing and others are told when it changes. A published website is listed the same way at its own address, from its first online booking or two weeks after publishing. One switch keeps both out. Search engines still decide what to show and when. More

Altegio

Extra cost

Nothing Altegio publishes says its own booking page is listed in search engines or has search settings. The Promtys partner website, from $29 a month before VAT, is described as built with SEO in mind, with 'advanced SEO (Yoast)' in every Promtys plan. Booking from the business's own Google listing is the social-booking row. Source

Running the business#

An AI assistant that sets up and runs your account#

Ask in your own words and it explains, sets things up and moves bookings. AI that only answers your customers, only writes copy or only answers support questions is partly.

Bookodile

Yes

AI Chat, in every account including the free one, with a daily allowance per account. Ask in English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese, typed or spoken: it answers how-to questions from this documentation and your own settings, explains why a day has no free times and who changed what; sets up team, services, prices, hours, rooms, booking rules, add-ons, logo and brand colour, and the order of your services and team; writes bios, your about text and service descriptions; builds and changes your website's draft and brings over the words of an old site; and moves, cancels or hands over bookings and blocks time, once or repeating. It shows every change first and waits for you to apply it, with Undo — only texts and the website's draft go in at once, still with Undo, and the website stays private until you publish. It answers you, not your customers, and does not create bookings. More

Altegio

Partly

Through the business's own AI app — Claude, ChatGPT in Developer mode, Cursor and others — connected to Altegio's four MCP servers, which are free. Asked in plain language, it answers from the help centre and the business's data, creates, changes and deletes appointments, team members, services, work schedules and clients, changes location and online-booking settings, and sets up a new location step by step. Each deletion needs a separate confirmation; for bulk changes the article suggests asking to see the planned list first. The assistant is the outside AI app, not part of Altegio, and no assistant inside Altegio itself is described. Source

Calendar#

Day, week and month; drag to move; blockers.

Bookodile

Yes

Day, week and month. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person — the calendar names any clash first, and Undo puts it back for ten seconds after. Block out time for the business, one person or a resource — once, or repeating every day, on chosen weekdays, every two weeks or every month. Add a walk-in; filter by person, service or resource. A visit with several services moves as one — dragged, or from the booking dialog, which shows the times that fit everyone first and still takes any other day and time, listing what it clashes with. More

Altegio

Yes

A Day view of the whole team, one position or the resources, and a Week view of one team member or resource, with zoom and a filter by visit status; online bookings are shown in their own colour, and a booking can be dragged to another team member, time or day. A month view is not described. Source

A native app for your team#

Bookodile

No

No native app. The dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen and works there, online. No push notifications: the team is told about bookings by email. More

Altegio

Yes

An Altegio Business Management app for the team, with the calendar in day, list and week modes, creating, editing and cancelling bookings, taking and splitting payments, statistics and push notifications about changes; a team member can be limited to their own bookings. Source

Several locations in one account#

Bookodile

Yes

Up to 50 locations in one account — a guard against misuse, raised on request — each with its own team, hours, services and booking page. A new location can start from one you have — its services with prices, hours, booking rules, logo and colours and website — and takes the team members you pick. Customers are one list across them, a team member can work at several with one sign-in, and a group dashboard totals them. The free plan covers one location; each location is billed at a base rate. More

Altegio

Yes

A chain interface over several locations: team members assigned to more than one location, services and products created once and distributed, one customer record across the chain, memberships and loyalty programmes that can be valid in every location, a chain booking widget where the customer picks the location first, and chain analytics by location. Source

Roles and permissions#

Custom roles, per-permission control.

Bookodile

Yes

Owner, Manager, Employee and Receptionist ready-made, or build a role and set each permission by hand — including whether someone sees only their own bookings, customers and figures, takes bookings at all, can message customers, or manages billing, which only the owner can give. More

Altegio

Yes

Eight preset roles — System Manager, Read-only, Owner, Manager, Receptionist, Call Center, Accountant and Team member — each a set of access rights that can be narrowed or extended right by right, and copied from one team member to another. Any editing right makes a team member billable. Source

A history of who changed what#

Every change to bookings, customers, services and settings, with who made it and when. A booking's own history alone is partly.

Bookodile

Yes

Activity records changes to bookings, customers, services, resources, the team, time off, blocked time and settings: what changed from what to what, who did it — a team member by name, the customer, or automatic — how and when. Each role sees the history of what it can open, a booking's own history sits in the booking window with what the customer was sent, and it exports to CSV. Kept 24 months, in every account. Not recorded: what a role may do, prices set per team member or category, payment records, billing and add-on records such as vouchers; a note shows as edited, never its words. More

Altegio

Partly

Reports > Security > Data changes lists every addition, change and deletion on appointments, financial transactions and inventory operations, with the date, who made it and the details, filtered by period, entity, author and action, and opens the full change history of one booking or operation. Customers, services, the team and settings are not among the entities it lists. Source

Reports#

Bookodile

Yes

Revenue, bookings, average value and cancellation rate over the last twelve months, charted month by month, with bookings by status, new customers, top services and the team ranked by revenue; per location or across all. A no-show counts as a booking, never as revenue. Website visits shows who came to your website, from where, and how many booked. Forecasting, revenue split, booking sources and payments received are included add-ons. The period is fixed at twelve months. More

Altegio

Yes

Revenue, occupancy, booking sources, cancellations and no-shows, lost customers, and each team member's revenue, visit count, average bill and return rate, compared across any period and, for several locations, across the chain. Reports export for accounting or an external BI tool. Source

A leaderboard for the team#

Team members see where they rank on bookings or sales, with a winner. A report only managers can open is partly.

Bookodile

Yes

A monthly competition on bookings or revenue that the whole team sees, with a winner per category if you want one, results frozen and emailed on the 1st, and a Hall of fame. Revenue amounts stay hidden from the team unless you show them. Up to three at once, per location. An included add-on. More

Altegio

Partly

Sales by team member, team workload and team performance over time are reports, each opened only by someone whose role has that permission. No ranking shown to the team itself, and no winner or competition, is described. Source

Point of sale, stock and payroll#

Bookodile

No

No point of sale, no stock, no payroll — a walk-in is a booking. The included payment-tracking add-on records what each visit was paid, by cash, card or transfer, with part-payments and tips shared between the people who did the work, and Revenue split works out each team member's share at the percentage you set, month by month. More

Altegio

Yes

Stock tracked across warehouses with suppliers, deliveries, transfers, barcode scanning and consumables written off automatically per service; products sold alongside services; and salaries calculated in the same system, with the cost of consumables taken into account. The page says inventory is included in every plan. Source

Confirmations and reminders#

Email and text; included or charged.

Bookodile

Yes

Confirmations, a reminder the day before at 8:00, two hours before or both — your choice — changes, cancellations and follow-ups by email, all included, in the language the customer booked in. By SMS too with the SMS messages add-on: the add-on is free, and SMS need a paid plan — billed monthly with it, per SMS, capped each month. SMS reach numbers in 14 countries today; Czechia, the US and Canada are coming soon. More

Altegio

Partly

Automatic notifications by push, text and email for more than twenty events, among them booking confirmations, reminders, changes, cancellations and review requests; by default a reminder goes by text one hour before and by email twelve hours before. Text messages go through an SMS provider the business connects, which Altegio's billing article says charges for its own service, and push goes to customers in Altegio.me, the free app its client-app article describes. WhatsApp comes through two integrations, each on its own page. Altegio's Notification Sender article describes reminders, offers, birthday greetings and review requests sent one way from Altegio's own WhatsApp number — customers cannot reply — on a paid subscription, from a balance topped up for each location. Its WhatsApp Business with Coexistence page describes the same kinds of notifications from the business's own number, and lists the European Economic Area, the European Union and the United Kingdom as unsupported. Source

Messages with one customer, in one inbox#

Write to a customer and read their answer inside the product — not a bulk campaign. One-way only is partly.

Bookodile

Yes

Messages, in every account: write to one customer from the calendar or their page by email, SMS or both, and read their answer in one inbox, with unread ones marked and the team told by email. Email is included; SMS need the SMS messages add-on on a paid plan, billed per SMS — Czech, US and Canadian numbers coming soon. The customer answers on a page the message links to, not by replying to the email or text, and cannot start a conversation. No WhatsApp. More

Altegio

Partly

Depends on the country. Altegio's own WhatsApp Business integration with Coexistence, free to install on any paid plan and sending from the business's own number, syncs messages sent or received in the WhatsApp Business app and in Altegio in real time, so the team can reply from either; the help-centre article says Meta's own message prices apply. Its integration page lists the European Economic Area, the European Union and the United Kingdom, and Australia, India, Japan, Nigeria, the Philippines, South Korea, South Africa and Turkey, as unsupported, while the help-centre article names only Nigeria and South Africa. The other route is a chat in the calendar's side panel and in the visit window, showing the whole conversation with a customer — WhatsApp, in the visit window — with new messages marked, documents and images, from a partner integration — Integrilla, Flowsell or Message.Help — that the business registers for and pays separately, and works only in the web version on a computer. Source

Email and text campaigns#

Bookodile

Partly

No bulk email or SMS campaigns. Included add-ons instead: a win-back sequence of up to three emails to customers overdue for a visit, judged by their own usual gap, never to anyone with a booking ahead and starting over after their next visit, the later ones with a one-time discount code; promotions and announcements on your booking page and your website, an announcement optionally kept on the booking page for customers who have booked before; and Campaign tracking, which shows which ads and links bring bookings. More

Altegio

Partly

The client list filters by visits, spend, services, team member, birthday, category and more, and a filtered list can be sent a text message or a push to the customer app in bulk. Email is not listed as a bulk channel, and text messages need an SMS aggregator connected. Source

Reviews#

Collect, publish, and ask for Google reviews.

Bookodile

Yes

Collect a rating and comment after each visit, publish them on your booking page and website when you choose — all of them, never hand-picked — reply in public or privately, and ask every customer, not only the happy ones, for a Google review in the same email. More

Altegio

Yes

A review request goes out automatically once a visit is marked Arrived, 1 to 30 minutes or 1 to 24 hours later, and is skipped if the customer has already reviewed that location, team member or service; the review then shows in the booking widget when a customer is choosing a team member. No request for a Google review is documented in it. Source

Gift vouchers, discount codes and promotions#

Also packages and memberships.

Bookodile

Partly

Gift vouchers, discount codes, promotions and upsell discounts, all included. No packages or memberships, and vouchers are issued by you rather than sold online. More

Altegio

Yes

Cashback bonuses, discounts that grow with visits or spend, every-nth-service rewards, a referral programme, and automatic discounts on online bookings, for the first booking or every one. Gift cards and memberships are set up for the whole chain and can be sold online. Source

Google or Outlook calendar sync#

Bookodile

Partly

Bookings are pushed into one Google Calendar per location as they are made, moved or cancelled. One direction only — Google events do not block your availability — not one calendar per team member, and no Outlook sync. Customers can add their own booking to Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar. More

Altegio

Partly

A team member's Google Calendar is connected from their card, and their bookings are then copied to it automatically — the help centre says from Altegio to Google and not the other way around. Customer details go across unless that option is turned off. No Outlook integration is documented. Source

Intake and consent forms#

Bookodile

Partly

A consent checkbox in your own wording, with a link to your privacy policy — each customer's agreement is recorded with the date and the wording they saw — invoice details that can be optional or required, and a notes field. No custom intake forms or questions, and no e-signatures. More

Altegio

Partly

Custom fields on the booking and on the customer card — text, a number, a list of values or a date — which can be shown in the booking widget and made required. No consent-form template and no e-signature is documented. Source

Your data: export, import, API#

Bookodile

Partly

Export bookings, customers and the activity log to CSV whenever you like. No import tool yet — customers from another tool are added one at a time or as they book — and no public API. More

Altegio

Yes

Customers import from a .csv, .xls or .xlsx file of up to 12 MB, 500 rows at a time, with name and phone required, and the client list exports to Excel from the same screen. A public API is documented. Source

Support#

Channels and hours; whether onboarding costs extra.

Bookodile

Yes

Email support, included, with the documentation at bookodile.com/docs behind it, and AI Chat in the dashboard, which answers how-to questions from that documentation and from your own settings. A new business is walked through its setup in AI Chat right after signing up — its services, texts and website — at no cost. No phone line, and no chat with a person. More

Altegio

Yes

Onboarding with an expert — mapping how the business works, moving clients, services and visit history from the previous system, setting it up and training the team — is part of the subscription, and the pricing page says support is not billed separately and replies in under 3 minutes. No hours are published. Source

Where Altegio is stronger#

Being straight about this is what makes the rest of the page worth reading.

It takes your customers' money#

Prepayment inside the booking form through Adyen, Stripe, VivaWallet and regional providers, payment links and QR codes, and payment policies that take a deposit or, with Adyen, keep a card on the booking and charge a late-cancellation or no-show fee to it. Bookodile does not process payments and cannot take a deposit; the payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid after the fact.

A full back office in the same product#

Stock across warehouses with suppliers, transfers and consumables written off per service, products sold alongside services, and salaries calculated in the same system. Bookodile has none of this — a walk-in is a booking, and money is tracked rather than handled.

Text, WhatsApp and push, plus Google, Instagram and Facebook#

Reminders by text and WhatsApp alongside email and push to the client app, and booking from Google Maps, an Instagram profile and a Facebook page, with Reserve with Google completing the booking inside Google. WhatsApp goes one way from Altegio's own number; sending from your own number is a separate integration that Altegio's integration page lists as unsupported in the European Economic Area, the European Union and the United Kingdom. Bookodile reminds by email, and by SMS with its SMS messages add-on on a paid plan — to numbers in 14 countries, Slovakia and Hungary among them, not yet Czechia; it has no WhatsApp, no client app and no social booking integrations.

Apps for the team and for customers, and a short booking address#

A team app with the calendar, payments and statistics, the free Altegio.me app where customers keep their bookings, memberships and gift cards, an app under your own brand on request, and a short personal address on altegio.me for a booking link. Bookodile's dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen, there is no consumer app, and the booking page lives on bookodile.com.

Loyalty, memberships and packages#

Cashback and discount programmes, referrals, gift cards and memberships sold online, and service packages at a package price. Bookodile issues gift vouchers and discount codes but sells neither online, and has no packages or memberships at all.

More booking-page languages, an import and an API#

Twenty-three languages on the booking widget including Slovak and Czech, customers imported from a spreadsheet, and a documented public API. Bookodile's booking page has 17 languages, Serbian, Bulgarian and Turkish not among them; it exports to CSV but cannot import, and it has no public API.

Works with the AI assistant you already use#

Altegio's free MCP servers let Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app read the business's figures and, on request, create, change and delete appointments, team members, services, schedules and clients — a price rise across a whole category in one request — or set up a new location step by step. Bookodile's AI Chat is built into every account, the free one included, and shows each change and waits for you to apply it, with Undo — only texts and the website's draft go in at once, still with Undo; it does not create new bookings, and Bookodile has no public API for another AI tool to work through.

Who Altegio is for

Altegio is a booking system that has grown into a whole back office: the calendar and online booking sit beside stock, payments, payroll, loyalty programmes, memberships and analytics, with a client app and booking from Google, Instagram and Facebook around the outside. Its own description is software for chains and franchises in service industries, and the chain tools show it — team members, services, products and loyalty are set up once for the chain and shared across its locations, with one customer record for all of them.

It describes itself as a European holding company with offices in seven countries, its booking widget comes in 23 languages including Slovak and Czech, and its pricing page shows each visitor the price for their own country, in that country's currency.

Bookodile is narrower on purpose. It is for a business where the people are not interchangeable, where one visit can involve two of them, and where the booking is the job — payment, stock and pay stay with whatever you already use. Those are the rows above where the two products differ most, and the rows where Altegio does more are just as real.

The pricing model, in practice

Altegio prices by team size and licence term. The calculator on its pricing page runs from up to two team members to no limit, and shows the price for the country it detects, before tax. The licence counts billable team members — anyone who provides services and has a work schedule, and anyone whose role includes an editing right — and leaves out view-only and system-manager access. So a receptionist who books and takes payments counts, and someone who only reads reports does not. Licences are prepaid for one, three, six or twelve months, and the longer terms are rewarded with bonus months rather than a lower headline rate: one extra month on three, three on six and nine on twelve. A help-centre notice dates a price rise, a smaller minimum licence and a shorter minimum prepayment to 1 February 2025. The trial is seven days with every feature and no card. The figures for Slovakia, Czechia and Hungary are in the table above.

Two costs sit outside the licence. Text messages go through an SMS aggregator the business signs up with and pays — Altegio does not send them itself — and WhatsApp notifications from Altegio's own number are paid from a balance topped up for each location; they go one way, and customers cannot reply. Sending from the business's own WhatsApp number is a separate integration, WhatsApp Business with Coexistence, with Meta's own message prices; its page lists the European Economic Area, the European Union and the United Kingdom among the regions where it is unsupported, while the help-centre article on it, updated on 14 October 2026, names only Nigeria and South Africa. A mobile app under the business's own brand is quoted on request.

Bookodile charges per location plus per booking spot that actually took a booking that month. People who take no bookings are not counted, and several people taking turns at one station count as one spot. SMS, with the SMS messages add-on, need a paid plan and are billed per SMS on the plan's own invoice, capped each month. The figures for your country are on the pricing page, and the model is explained in What Bookodile costs.

Which works out cheaper depends entirely on headcount and on how many of those people take bookings or edit anything. The case for Bookodile is in the rows above, not in the bill.

Two services, two people

Altegio answers this with two separate features, and the difference matters. A customer can pick several services in one online booking, but the help centre says the booking is created only if one and the same team member can perform all of them. Services assigned to different people need a service package, which Altegio calls 4HANDS+: between two and ten services, delivered at the same time by several team members, one after another by one, or one after another by several. A customer can book a package in the booking widget — one package per booking, with nothing else added — and saving one creates linked bookings for the team members involved. The first worked example in the documentation is two services performed at the same time by two people.

What the article does not settle is the sequential case with two people. Its settings section describes a package delivered one after another by different team members; its calendar section says that, at the moment, a sequential package can be provided by only one team member. Neither says whether each person is blocked only for their own stage or for the whole visit, and moving one booking in a package means moving each linked booking as well. The article also says packages are not yet available on every account. This page does not guess the rest.

In Bookodile the same thing is an ordinary combo service. One stage with one person, the next with another, as stages of a single booking: each carries its own team member, its own duration and its own room if it needs one, each person is blocked only for their stage, and the customer books it in one go and gets one confirmation. Afterwards staff can move or cancel the whole visit as a unit: the times that fit every person in it are shown first, and any other time still works, with what it clashes with listed.

Switching from Altegio

  • Customers. Altegio exports the client list to Excel. Bookodile has no import tool yet, so keep the file as a record; customers are created the first time they book, and your team can add anyone by hand.
  • Bookings. Neither an Altegio export nor a Bookodile import moves future bookings. Run the two side by side until the Altegio calendar empties out, then switch the link.
  • Your booking link. An altegio.me address belongs to Altegio. Bookodile gives you bookodile.com/your-business, so every place the old link lives gets the new one, and Bookodile generates a QR code for the counter.
  • A website. Altegio's comes from Promtys, a partner you pay separately. Bookodile's is included, built from your services, prices, team, hours and reviews, at yourname.bookodile.com or on a domain you already own, connected at no cost.
  • The client app, Reserve with Google and the social buttons. All Altegio channels with no Bookodile equivalent. Your Google Business Profile can still carry the Bookodile link as its appointment link, and your Instagram bio can carry it as a link — what goes away is booking completed inside Google itself. Campaign tracking, an included add-on, gives ready-tagged links for Google, Instagram and Facebook and counts the bookings each one brings.
  • Payments, deposits, no-show fees, memberships, stock and payroll. If you run any of these through Altegio you need another way to do them. Bookodile records payments and issues vouchers; it does not take money, charge for a no-show, sell memberships, count stock or pay staff.
  • Text and WhatsApp reminders. Bookodile reminds by email, and by SMS with the SMS messages add-on on a paid plan. Its SMS reach numbers in 14 countries, Slovakia and Hungary among them, but not yet Czechia. There is no WhatsApp.

Where each one fits

Choose Altegio if you want card payments, deposits and no-show fees inside the booking, stock and payroll in the same product as the calendar, text or WhatsApp reminders, memberships and loyalty programmes, apps for your team and your customers, booking completed inside Google, or a booking page in one of the languages Bookodile does not have.

Choose Bookodile if one visit can involve two people, each blocked only for their own part and moved as a unit afterwards, if you want a waiting list that offers a cancelled slot by itself and a leaderboard your team can see — or if you want every feature on a free account (SMS aside), a website included rather than bought from a partner, and your customers read Vietnamese.

Common questions#

Is there a free Altegio plan?#
No. Altegio publishes a seven-day trial with every feature in it, after which a licence is paid by team size, the smallest covering up to two team members. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, and every add-on is included on that free account just as it is on a paid one — the one exception is SMS, which need a paid plan.
Can I move my customers from Altegio to Bookodile?#
Altegio exports your client list to an Excel spreadsheet, so the list is yours to take. Bookodile has no import tool yet, so that file is a record rather than a migration: customers are created automatically the first time they book, the list rebuilds itself as regulars return, and your team can add anyone by hand in the meantime.
Does Bookodile take payments or deposits like Altegio?#
No. Altegio takes prepayment inside the booking form, and its payment policies can take a deposit or, with Adyen, keep a card on the booking and charge a late-cancellation or no-show fee. Bookodile does not process payments, take deposits or keep a card on file. Payment stays between you and your customer however you already handle it, the payment-tracking add-on records what arrived, and a no-show is recorded against the customer rather than charged.
Which languages can my customers book in?#
Altegio's widget lists 23, including Slovak and Czech; Vietnamese is not among them. Bookodile's booking page comes in 17, Vietnamese among them: each location has a main language and can add up to seven more, which customers switch between on the page, and the wording in the 13 beyond English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese was written by AI and has not yet been read by a native speaker — and the language your customers read is a separate setting from the one your team reads the dashboard in, so a Slovak-speaking owner can run a booking page in Czech.
Can both handle two services with two different team members in one visit?#
Both have an answer, and they are not the same shape. In Altegio a customer can pick several services only if one team member can do all of them; two people means a service package of two to ten services, which a customer can book online, one package per booking. The package article describes packages done at the same time by several people, and a sequence by several people in its settings, but its calendar section says a sequential package can at the moment be provided by only one team member, and it does not say how each person's time is blocked. In Bookodile it is an ordinary combo service: each stage carries its own team member, duration and room, the stages run back to back, each person is blocked only for their part, and the customer books the whole thing in one go.
What happens to my Altegio client app, booking address and Google booking button?#
All three are Altegio's. Bookodile has no consumer app and no Reserve with Google; your booking page becomes bookodile.com/your-business, and every place the old link lives — your Google Business Profile's appointment link, your bio, your own site — gets the new one. Bookodile generates a QR code for the counter and for print. A website, which Altegio offers through its partner Promtys, comes with Bookodile: built from your booking setup, at yourname.bookodile.com or on a domain you already own.

How these comparisons are made

Every claim about another product comes from that product's own published pages and carries the date it was checked. Nothing is inferred from silence, no price is estimated, and no review is repeated as fact. If a line here is out of date, write to support@bookodile.com and it will be fixed.
