Comparison

Bookodile vs SimplePOS

SimplePOS is a US point-of-sale system with online booking attached, sold with card terminals and processing through payment resellers, and with almost nothing about its booking page published. Bookodile is a booking system, with a website built from it and no till; its price is published and every behaviour documented.

SimplePOS's facts checked on 9 September 2026 · Bookodile's on 17 October 2026View as Markdown

Bookodile or SimplePOS: what matters most#

Bookodile

A free plan, not a trial — with every feature#

Start free and stay free: one location, two booking spots, 40 bookings a month, and every feature and add-on, the website and AI Chat included. Only SMS need a paid plan, because each one is billed.

SimplePOS

SimplePOS publishes no price, plan or trial; its reseller offers hardware packages on request, with a 30-day free trial.

Bookodile

A website you build with AI — on your own domain, free#

Tell AI Chat what you want and it builds your website with you. The first draft comes in moments, made from your services, prices, team, hours and reviews, in a design you choose. Then just say what to change: “make it feel warmer”, “bring over the words from my old site”, “rewrite our About text”. Photo galleries sort into categories you name, and a category linked to a service gets its own Book button. Prices and opening hours stay in step with your bookings. Your own domain connects at no cost, and nothing goes public until you publish.

SimplePOS

No website from SimplePOS, only a booking portal on a simplepos.us address.

Bookodile

AI Chat — an AI assistant that helps with everything you need#

Ask in your own words, typed or spoken, and AI Chat does the work. It sets up services, prices, the team and opening hours. It writes your bios and service descriptions and builds your website. It blocks out a holiday and hands those bookings to a colleague, moves bookings, and tells you what tomorrow holds and who changed what. Every change comes with Undo, in every account, the free one included.

SimplePOS

No AI is published on SimplePOS's or its reseller's pages.

Bookodile

Two people, one visit — each blocked only for their part#

A visit can give each part its own team member, time and room, back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own part, and your team moves the whole visit in one step.

SimplePOS

It publishes 'make an appointment for your client within seconds', and nothing on two people in one visit.

These are only the main ones. See the full comparison, feature by feature

Why businesses switch from SimplePOS#

The price is on a page, not at the end of a phone call#

SimplePOS publishes no software price, no plans and no terms; you phone the vendor or request a demo from a reseller, and the quote bundles card hardware and a merchant account. Bookodile's price is on its pricing page for every country it serves, with a free tier at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, no commission and no minimum term.

What the booking page does is written down#

SimplePOS has no help centre and no feature page for its booking portal, so nothing published says how several services or team members are handled, whether there is buffer time, a waiting list, a cancellation window or per-person prices. Bookodile documents every one of those rows, and they are all included: combo services with a different team member per stage, a price and a duration per person, buffers, a waiting list with automatic offers and rooms with a capacity.

A booking page in your customers' language#

SimplePOS's booking page is English only; the Vietnamese its reseller sells and supports in appears in demo videos and on the support line, not on the page a customer books on. Bookodile's booking page comes in 17 languages, Vietnamese, Spanish and Chinese among them — a location can offer up to eight, with a switch for the customer — set separately from the language you read your dashboard in. Its wording beyond English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese was written by AI and has not yet been read by a native speaker.

Booking without a card terminal#

SimplePOS is a point of sale first: online booking is attached to a till sold with PAX terminals and card processing through resellers. Bookodile has no till — no hardware, no processor, no merchant account; payment stays between you and your customer, and the payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid.

Reminders that are included, in the right language#

SimplePOS's reseller promises automated text alerts, and nothing published says whether they are included or charged, or whether email reminders exist at all. Bookodile sends email confirmations, a reminder the day before, two hours before or both — your choice — cancellations and follow-ups, included and in your business's language. Its SMS do not reach US or Canadian numbers yet — they are coming soon — so until then a customer with one gets every reminder by email.

What each one costs#

Bookodile

A base rate per location plus a rate per booking spot that actually took a booking that month, in country bands. No commission, no per-booking fee, no feature sold separately — only SMS, if you send them, are billed per SMS.

Show prices for
  • One location with three booking spots costs $68 a month.
  • Free at 1 location, up to 2 booking spots and 40 bookings a month — every add-on included; SMS need a paid plan.

SimplePOS

There is no price list. The vendor's site publishes no software price, no plans and no trial — it says 'Get Contact With Us' with a phone number, and 'Wide products selection suitable for your desire budget'. The product is sold through merchant-services resellers as hardware packages with card processing, quoted on request. The reseller Joy Payment's product site lists three packages, each with a 'Request Demo' button and no price, and offers 'Start your free 30 day trial – no credit card required'; its own merchant-services page advertises 'Free Terminal & Supplies' with the conditions unstated and prints its own card rates, which are the reseller's, not SimplePOS's. What the software costs, what is included in it, whether text messages are charged, and whether there is a minimum term are not published anywhere.

Pricing#

A free plan that stays free#

Not a trial: a plan a small business can stay on.

Bookodile

Yes

Free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every feature and add-on — SMS aside, which need a paid plan. Not a trial — a plan a small business stays on. A paid plan starts with 14 days free rather than a charge. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No free plan is published by the vendor or by its reseller. The only free thing on offer is the reseller's 30-day trial, which is a trial.

No commission on bookings#

No cut of a booking, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge.

Bookodile

Yes

No commission, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge. The bill is the subscription, plus any SMS you send with the SMS messages add-on, billed per SMS and capped each month. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No per-booking fee is published, and none is ruled out. The vendor publishes no price list of any kind.

Every feature included#

Nothing sold separately — text bundles, marketing, forms, a branded app, extra locations.

Bookodile

Partly

Every feature and add-on is included — reminders, reviews, vouchers, the waiting list, forecasting, Messages, AI Chat and the website with your own domain. The one thing billed by use is SMS: the SMS messages add-on is free, and each SMS is billed monthly with a paid plan at a price per country, never more a month than a cap that starts at the plan's own price. Each location is billed at a base rate. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No plan is published, so nothing says what the software price includes. Hardware is sold as separate packages by the reseller.

The same features on every plan#

No capability reserved for a higher tier.

Bookodile

Partly

One plan, with free limits: every account, including a free one, has every feature and add-on. The one exception is SMS, which need a paid plan, because each one is billed on its invoice. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No plans or tiers are published, so nothing can be said about what sits on which one.

No minimum term or cancellation fee#

Bookodile

Yes

Monthly, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. There is no yearly plan. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No minimum term, cancellation fee or renewal terms are published by the vendor, and the reseller's pages state none.

Processes your customers' card payments#

Takes the customer's money at booking or at the till.

Bookodile

No

Bookodile does not take your customers' money. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; payment stays between you and the customer. More

SimplePOS

Yes

The core product is a point of sale with card terminals: the vendor lists PAX Aries 8, A35, S300 and A800 pinpads, and the software is sold with a merchant account through payment resellers. Whether you can bring your own processor is not published. Source

Taking bookings#

A hosted booking page#

Bookodile

Yes

bookodile.com/your-business, with your logo, colour, services — each with its photo, when you add one — and hours. One page per location. More

SimplePOS

Yes

A page for each business at a simplepos.us subdomain, titled 'SimplePOS Online Booking'. The vendor describes it as a 'Smart and powerful portal to manage booking for your store'. Source

Booking on your own website#

An embedded widget or button, not just a link.

Bookodile

Yes

One snippet embeds the whole flow in any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — inline or behind a Book-now button in your brand colour. A QR code is generated for print. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No embed code, iframe or button is published for putting the booking page on your own website.

Customers book without an account or an app#

Bookodile

Yes

The customer gives only the details you require — a name, and an email, a phone number or both. No account, no app, no password. My Bookings, a web page they sign in to with an emailed code or Google, shows every booking they hold, if they want it. More

SimplePOS

Yes

A customer books on the public page without creating an account or installing anything. A phone number is required, and the field accepts North American ten-digit numbers only. Whether a business can make sign-in compulsory is not published. Source

Several services in one booking#

Bookodile

Partly

Combo services chain stages into one booking, and the extras you configure are offered during booking, in more than one round. Customers do not pick arbitrary pairs from the catalogue — you decide which combinations exist. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Neither the vendor nor the reseller says whether a customer can put several services into one booking.

Back-to-back services with different team members#

Each person is blocked only for their own part, not for the whole visit.

Bookodile

Yes

Each stage of a combo can have its own team member, its own duration and its own room, booked back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own stage, never for the whole visit. Staff move the whole visit in one step, with the times that fit every person in it shown first. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Nothing published says whether the services in one booking can go to different team members, or how each person's time is blocked if they do.

Rooms, chairs and equipment as bookable resources#

With a capacity, and bookable without a person.

Bookodile

Yes

Rooms, chairs and equipment with a capacity and their own hours. A service can need a resource alone, a person alone, or both, and capacity is enforced when the booking is made. A service linked to several takes whichever one is free; a booking never holds two at once. Each one is open to anyone who does its services, or kept for named people when it belongs to them — three juniors share a chair while the master has his own. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Nothing published mentions rooms, chairs or equipment as something a customer can book.

Classes and events with a capacity#

Bookodile

Yes

Events with a capacity and a registration list for one-off things; a recurring class is a service on a resource with a capacity, so it fills up and stops. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No classes, events or capacity feature is described on any page.

A different price per team member#

Bookodile

Yes

A service can be priced per team member, or per category such as Junior and Senior. The customer sees each person's price as they choose who, and the category's name too if you show it. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Nothing published says whether a service can carry a different price per team member.

A different duration per team member#

Bookodile

Yes

A service can take a different time per team member. Leave someone blank and they use the service's own duration. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Nothing published says whether a service can take a different time per team member.

Buffer time that blocks the calendar#

Bookodile

Yes

Each service can have its own buffer after it, up to 120 minutes, which blocks the person and any resource it used. Enforced on the booking page and in the booking API. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No buffer or gap setting is described on any page.

A waiting list with automatic offers#

A cancellation is offered to whoever is waiting, without you doing anything.

Bookodile

Yes

Your team adds customers to the list; they cannot join it from the booking page. When a booking is cancelled, the time is offered automatically by email to whoever has waited longest for that service, with three hours to confirm — or until the time starts, if sooner — and confirming books them straight in. If nobody confirms, it goes to the next person waiting for that service within about ten minutes, as long as the time is still ahead and still free. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No waiting list is described on any page.

Recurring bookings#

Bookodile

Partly

Your team can repeat a booking of one service from the calendar — weekly, every two weeks or monthly, up to 52 visits — and cancel one visit or the whole series. A combo or a booking with add-ons cannot be repeated. Customers cannot book a recurring appointment themselves. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Nothing published says whether a booking can repeat, for the team or for customers.

Booking rules#

Minimum notice, how far ahead, approval, cancellation window, slot spacing.

Bookodile

Yes

Minimum notice (up to 72 hours), how far ahead (up to 365 days), start times every 5 to 60 minutes, auto-confirm or your approval, and a cancellation window (up to 168 hours) with late cancellation allowed or not — one set of rules per location. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No lead time, scheduling window, approval step, cancellation window or slot spacing is described on any page.

Customers cancel or reschedule themselves#

Bookodile

Yes

Customers reschedule or cancel themselves from the link in their confirmation and reminder emails, or in My Bookings, outside your cancellation window, and can tell you why. A reschedule moves the whole visit in one step to a free time with the same team members and price, and the customer's calendar event moves with it. Inside the window they cannot reschedule online, and can cancel only if you allow late cancellations, once they accept they may be charged. More

SimplePOS

Not published

The reseller's product site says customers can 'book, reschedule, or cancel appointments in seconds through an easy online interface'. The vendor's own site says nothing, and no page describes how a customer does it or within what window. Treat it as unconfirmed.

Deposits and no-show protection#

Bookodile

No

No card on file and no deposits, because Bookodile does not process payments. A no-show is marked on the booking and counted on the customer's record, never charged. You can let customers cancel late once they accept you may charge them; collecting it is up to you. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No deposit, card-on-file or no-show charge is described on any vendor or reseller page.

Extras offered while booking#

Bookodile

Yes

Extras are offered while booking, per service or per category, in up to several rounds, with an optional discount for adding them. A service can be offered only as an extra, off the list of services. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Nothing published describes extras or add-ons offered during booking.

What customers see#

A website for your business#

More than a booking page: pages for your services, team and story, made for you, on a domain of your own.

Bookodile

Yes

Included in every account, the free one too. Built from your booking setup — services, prices, team, hours and reviews stay in step with it — with templates (switching one keeps every page, or takes a template whole with its texts rewritten for your business from your setup), one page or several in any of them, your own look, extra pages, languages, your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube as icons in the footer, and a photo gallery in categories you name — a category linked to a service opens its photos with that service's price and a Book button — photos made or enhanced with AI, changed by asking in your own words — pointing at any part of it on the preview — or by hand, typing straight onto the page and moving, copying or changing its sections where you see them, on a computer or a phone, and nothing public until you publish. An old website comes over by asking: its pages rebuilt as sections, with their own words and photos. It starts at yourname.bookodile.com; connect a domain you already own, at no cost, and it moves to www.yourbusiness.com. Every Book button opens your booking page at bookodile.com/your-business — the one under each team member with that person already chosen — and a Website visits report counts who came, from where, and how many booked, without cookies. Running promotions, upcoming events and announcements show on it too, and update themselves as they start and end. No blog, no online shop, and no code of your own. More

SimplePOS

Not published

SimplePOS publishes no website for the business: no pages about its services, team or story, and no custom domain. The online booking portal at a simplepos.us subdomain is a booking page, not a website. The reseller Joy Payment's 'Marketing Services' link goes to Joy Marketing, an agency at the same address that sells template websites to any business; nothing published ties that service to SimplePOS or its booking page.

Makes and improves your photos with AI#

Inside the product: make a picture for your website or profile from a description, or improve one you took — its light, its background, what is in it. Stock photos, ordinary filters, a background remover alone, or AI images only for social posts are partly.

Bookodile

Yes

Included in every account, the free one too, up to 30 photos a month per account, each try counted. Take a photo on your phone and Enhance it, a team member's or a service's too: in your own words in any language, with ideas for your kind of business, by picking a look from pictures, or by putting a person or finished work into a photo of your own place, with before and after to compare. Create a photo from a description for a place on your website that has none — the top of a page, a service's cover, a card, or your gallery — in your own photo style. Then say what should change, like "remove the hand" or "clear the background", and it edits that photo, keeping every version. AI Chat can make several at once. You choose each one, and nothing is public until you publish. It works on your website's photos: it will not make a person's face, your team's portraits or the outside of your place, because customers should see the real ones. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Not published. The vendor's site and the reseller's product site describe a till, check-in, online booking, payroll and gift cards; neither mentions making or improving pictures, with AI or otherwise.

Listed in a consumer marketplace#

A directory where customers find you — and your competitors beside you.

Bookodile

No

No marketplace. Your booking page carries only your business, and no competitor is shown beside you — which also means it sends you no new customers.

SimplePOS

No

No consumer directory. The vendor describes online booking as a portal for your own business at its own simplepos.us address, and neither app store carries a consumer app under the name. Source

An app for customers#

Bookodile

No

No consumer app to download. Customers book in the browser. My Bookings, a web page they sign in to with an emailed code or Google, lists every booking they hold with any Bookodile business; there they cancel, keep their details up to date and can turn off a business's SMS. More

SimplePOS

No

No app for customers. The only app published under the name is Simple Report, for owners — 'View reports from stores' and 'View and control your booking from Simple POS system' — on iOS and Android. Source

Booking page languages#

What your customers read.

Bookodile

Yes

The booking page, the embedded widget and every email about a booking come in 17 languages: English, Slovak, Czech, Vietnamese, German, Hungarian, Polish, Ukrainian, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Romanian, Croatian, Slovenian and Chinese. Each location has a main language — English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese — and can add up to seven more, from the same list as its website. With more than one, the booking page shows a language switch and opens in the customer's own language when the location offers it (from the link, their last choice or their browser), otherwise in the main one. Every email and SMS about a booking goes out in the language it was made in; SMS in Ukrainian or Chinese go out in English, because they would not fit one SMS, while their emails and booking page stay in that language. Service names, descriptions, team bios and the location's other texts are translated automatically by AI, and the owner can correct any translation; names are never translated. The booking page's own wording in the 13 languages beyond English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese was written by AI and has not yet been read by a native speaker. What your customers read and what you read in the dashboard are separate settings. More

SimplePOS

Partly

English only. The public booking page renders in English and has no language switcher. Vietnamese appears in the reseller's demo videos and support line, not on the booking page. No Slovak or Czech. Source

Your business's time zone, shown correctly#

Bookodile

Yes

Every time is shown in the business's own zone, including on your dashboard. A customer in another zone sees both clocks before they confirm. Locations in different zones each keep their own; the group's combined monthly totals count on one clock. Each location writes its times on a 24-hour or a 12-hour clock (2:30 PM) — its country's until you pick one — on the booking page, in emails and SMS, on the website and in the dashboard alike. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Nothing on the vendor's or the reseller's pages says how a business's time zone is handled or shown.

Branding#

Logo, colour, custom CSS, custom domain.

Bookodile

Partly

Your own domain, at no cost: connect one you already own and your website moves to www.yourbusiness.com (the website row). The booking page its Book buttons open stays at bookodile.com/your-business, and the widget puts the same booking inside any other site you run, on that site's domain. Your logo, a second logo for dark backgrounds, a logo that links back to your own website, your brand colour with a contrast check, and announcements along the top of your booking page and your website. No custom CSS. More

SimplePOS

Partly

The public page carries the business's name on SimplePOS's own layout, under SimplePOS's page title, at a simplepos.us subdomain. Whether colours or fonts can be changed, or a custom domain used, is not published. Source

Dark mode on the booking page#

Bookodile

Yes

The hosted page follows the customer's device, and a sun-and-moon button lets them switch; My Bookings keeps the same choice. Your brand colour is adjusted to stay visible on dark. The embedded widget stays light on purpose, so it matches the website it sits in. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No page mentions a dark theme for the booking page, and it was not verified on the page itself.

Book buttons on Google, Instagram and Facebook#

Bookodile

No

No Reserve with Google or Instagram integration. Your booking link, bookodile.com/your-business, goes in your Google profile, your bio or a post like any link. Campaign tracking, an included add-on, gives ready-tagged links for Google, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and counts the bookings each one brings.

SimplePOS

Not published

No Reserve with Google, Instagram or Facebook booking button is described on any page.

Found on Google under your own name#

Your booking page or profile is listed for search engines, so someone searching for your business finds it.

Bookodile

Yes

On from the start, once an automatic check of the business name passes — normally within minutes: your booking page is in the sitemap search engines read, under your business's name, with your own description and address as the snippet, and Bing and others are told when it changes. A published website is listed the same way at its own address, from its first online booking or two weeks after publishing. One switch keeps both out. Search engines still decide what to show and when. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Neither the vendor nor its reseller says whether a business's booking page is listed in Google or other search engines, and no search or SEO setting is described.

Running the business#

An AI assistant that sets up and runs your account#

Ask in your own words and it explains, sets things up and moves bookings. AI that only answers your customers, only writes copy or only answers support questions is partly.

Bookodile

Yes

AI Chat, in every account including the free one, with a daily allowance per account. Ask in English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese, typed or spoken: it answers how-to questions from this documentation and your own settings, explains why a day has no free times and who changed what; sets up team, services, prices, hours, rooms, booking rules, add-ons, logo and brand colour, and the order of your services and team; writes bios, your about text and service descriptions; builds and changes your website's draft and brings over the words of an old site; and moves, cancels or hands over bookings and blocks time, once or repeating. It shows every change first and waits for you to apply it, with Undo — only texts and the website's draft go in at once, still with Undo, and the website stays private until you publish. It answers you, not your customers, and does not create bookings. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No page by the vendor or its reseller mentions AI, an assistant, a chatbot or an AI receptionist, and the owner app's listing describes reports and bookings only.

Calendar#

Day, week and month; drag to move; blockers.

Bookodile

Yes

Day, week and month. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person — the calendar names any clash first, and Undo puts it back for ten seconds after. Block out time for the business, one person or a resource — once, or repeating every day, on chosen weekdays, every two weeks or every month. Add a walk-in; filter by person, service or resource. A visit with several services moves as one — dragged, or from the booking dialog, which shows the times that fit everyone first and still takes any other day and time, listing what it clashes with. More

SimplePOS

Not published

The vendor says only that its portal manages bookings, and the owner app lets you 'view and control your booking'. No page describes the calendar's views, moving a booking or blocking out time.

A native app for your team#

Bookodile

No

No native app. The dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen and works there, online. No push notifications: the team is told about bookings by email. More

SimplePOS

Partly

A native owner app, Simple Report, on iOS and Android, for store reports and to 'view and control your booking'. The point of sale itself runs on Android tablets, PAX all-in-one terminals and a touch-screen desktop; no app-store listing for it was found. Source

Several locations in one account#

Bookodile

Yes

Up to 50 locations in one account — a guard against misuse, raised on request — each with its own team, hours, services and booking page. A new location can start from one you have — its services with prices, hours, booking rules, logo and colours and website — and takes the team members you pick. Customers are one list across them, a team member can work at several with one sign-in, and a group dashboard totals them. The free plan covers one location; each location is billed at a base rate. More

SimplePOS

Not published

The owner app's listing says 'View reports from stores', but no page describes running several locations in one account.

Roles and permissions#

Custom roles, per-permission control.

Bookodile

Yes

Owner, Manager, Employee and Receptionist ready-made, or build a role and set each permission by hand — including whether someone sees only their own bookings, customers and figures, takes bookings at all, can message customers, or manages billing, which only the owner can give. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No roles, permission levels or per-person access controls are described on any page.

A history of who changed what#

Every change to bookings, customers, services and settings, with who made it and when. A booking's own history alone is partly.

Bookodile

Yes

Activity records changes to bookings, customers, services, resources, the team, time off, blocked time and settings: what changed from what to what, who did it — a team member by name, the customer, or automatic — how and when. Each role sees the history of what it can open, a booking's own history sits in the booking window with what the customer was sent, and it exports to CSV. Kept 24 months, in every account. Not recorded: what a role may do, prices set per team member or category, payment records, billing and add-on records such as vouchers; a note shows as edited, never its words. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No log of who changed a booking, a customer, a service or a setting is described. The vendor's page says the system keeps 'customer booking records for reference' and the reseller's lists each customer's service history; neither says who made a change or when.

Reports#

Bookodile

Yes

Revenue, bookings, average value and cancellation rate over the last twelve months, charted month by month, with bookings by status, new customers, top services and the team ranked by revenue; per location or across all. A no-show counts as a booking, never as revenue. Website visits shows who came to your website, from where, and how many booked. Forecasting, revenue split, booking sources and payments received are included add-ons. The period is fixed at twelve months. More

SimplePOS

Yes

The reseller lists Dashboard, Tech Report, Transaction, Pay-out, Turn Tracker and Gift Card screens, 'One-Click Payroll Reports' and redemption tracking for promotions; the owner app exists to 'Easily view your store report'. Retention and forecast reports are not mentioned. Source

A leaderboard for the team#

Team members see where they rank on bookings or sales, with a winner. A report only managers can open is partly.

Bookodile

Yes

A monthly competition on bookings or revenue that the whole team sees, with a winner per category if you want one, results frozen and emailed on the 1st, and a Hall of fame. Revenue amounts stay hidden from the team unless you show them. Up to three at once, per location. An included add-on. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Nothing published describes a ranking, competition or goal. A reseller's screenshots include a 'Tech Report' screen with no description of what it shows.

Point of sale, stock and payroll#

Bookodile

No

No point of sale, no stock, no payroll — a walk-in is a booking. The included payment-tracking add-on records what each visit was paid, by cash, card or transfer, with part-payments and tips shared between the people who did the work, and Revenue split works out each team member's share at the percentage you set, month by month. More

SimplePOS

Yes

This is the core product: a point of sale with PAX card terminals, 'Tip calculation, Turn Tracker, Gift Card Management' on the vendor's page; the reseller adds 'Real-Time Inventory Sync', retail items and 'One-Click Payroll Reports'. Source

Confirmations and reminders#

Email and text; included or charged.

Bookodile

Yes

Confirmations, a reminder the day before at 8:00, two hours before or both — your choice — changes, cancellations and follow-ups by email, all included, in the language the customer booked in. By SMS too with the SMS messages add-on: the add-on is free, and SMS need a paid plan — billed monthly with it, per SMS, capped each month. SMS reach numbers in 14 countries today; Czechia, the US and Canada are coming soon. More

SimplePOS

Partly

Text messages: the reseller's page promises 'Automated Reminders' by 'automated SMS alerts', and the vendor publishes SMS terms with STOP and HELP keywords. Whether texts are included or charged, and whether email reminders exist, is not published. Source

Messages with one customer, in one inbox#

Write to a customer and read their answer inside the product — not a bulk campaign. One-way only is partly.

Bookodile

Yes

Messages, in every account: write to one customer from the calendar or their page by email, SMS or both, and read their answer in one inbox, with unread ones marked and the team told by email. Email is included; SMS need the SMS messages add-on on a paid plan, billed per SMS — Czech, US and Canadian numbers coming soon. The customer answers on a page the message links to, not by replying to the email or text, and cannot start a conversation. No WhatsApp. More

SimplePOS

Not published

Nothing published describes staff writing to one customer and reading the answer in the product. The texts on the reseller's page are automated reminders and promotions; the vendor's SMS terms describe replying STOP, CANCEL or HELP and do not say whether any other reply reaches the business.

Email and text campaigns#

Bookodile

Partly

No bulk email or SMS campaigns. Included add-ons instead: a win-back sequence of up to three emails to customers overdue for a visit, judged by their own usual gap, never to anyone with a booking ahead and starting over after their next visit, the later ones with a one-time discount code; promotions and announcements on your booking page and your website, an announcement optionally kept on the booking page for customers who have booked before; and Campaign tracking, which shows which ads and links bring bookings. More

SimplePOS

Partly

'Targeted SMS Promotions' and 'Time-Limited Promotions' on the reseller's page. Email campaigns and automated win-back are not mentioned anywhere. Source

Reviews#

Collect, publish, and ask for Google reviews.

Bookodile

Yes

Collect a rating and comment after each visit, publish them on your booking page and website when you choose — all of them, never hand-picked — reply in public or privately, and ask every customer, not only the happy ones, for a Google review in the same email. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No page describes collecting, publishing or replying to reviews, or asking for Google reviews.

Gift vouchers, discount codes and promotions#

Also packages and memberships.

Bookodile

Partly

Gift vouchers, discount codes, promotions and upsell discounts, all included. No packages or memberships, and vouchers are issued by you rather than sold online. More

SimplePOS

Yes

'Gift Card Management' on the vendor's page; 'Digital & Printed Gift Cards', promotions and 'bundled packages' on the reseller's. Discount codes at online booking and memberships are not mentioned. Source

Google or Outlook calendar sync#

Bookodile

Partly

Bookings are pushed into one Google Calendar per location as they are made, moved or cancelled. One direction only — Google events do not block your availability — not one calendar per team member, and no Outlook sync. Customers can add their own booking to Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No Google, Outlook or iCal sync is described on any page.

Intake and consent forms#

Bookodile

Partly

A consent checkbox in your own wording, with a link to your privacy policy — each customer's agreement is recorded with the date and the wording they saw — invoice details that can be optional or required, and a notes field. No custom intake forms or questions, and no e-signatures. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No intake or consent forms are described on any page.

Your data: export, import, API#

Bookodile

Partly

Export bookings, customers and the activity log to CSV whenever you like. No import tool yet — customers from another tool are added one at a time or as they book — and no public API. More

SimplePOS

Not published

No export, import or public API is described. The vendor's privacy policy says data is deleted on a written request.

Support#

Channels and hours; whether onboarding costs extra.

Bookodile

Yes

Email support, included, with the documentation at bookodile.com/docs behind it, and AI Chat in the dashboard, which answers how-to questions from that documentation and from your own settings. A new business is walked through its setup in AI Chat right after signing up — its services, texts and website — at no cost. No phone line, and no chat with a person. More

SimplePOS

Partly

The vendor publishes a phone number and a support email address, with no hours. The reseller Joy Payment advertises '24/7 ENG & VN Tech Support' for its own customers. Onboarding, and whether support costs extra, are not published. Source

Where SimplePOS is stronger#

Being straight about this is what makes the rest of the page worth reading.

It is a till, with card terminals and processing built in#

PAX pinpads and all-in-one terminals, tip calculation, a turn tracker and gift cards on the vendor's page; payroll reports, retail items and inventory on the reseller's. Bookodile has no point of sale, no stock and no payroll, and does not process payments.

Gift cards you can sell, packages, and text promotions#

Digital and printed gift cards, bundled packages, targeted text promotions and time-limited offers, all in the same system as the till. Bookodile's gift vouchers are issued by you rather than sold online, it has no packages or memberships, and it runs no text campaigns.

A native app for the owner#

Simple Report on iOS and Android shows store reports and lets the owner 'view and control your booking'. Bookodile's dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen.

Sales and support in Vietnamese, around the clock, through the reseller#

Joy Payment demonstrates the product in Vietnamese and advertises '24/7 ENG & VN Tech Support' by phone. Bookodile's support is by email, with AI Chat in the dashboard for how-to questions and no phone line.

Who SimplePOS is for

SimplePOS is a point-of-sale system built for one trade. Its own headline is "SimplePOS for Nails Salons & Spa", and the reseller's product site says it is "designed specifically for nail salons and spas". The core is the till: PAX card terminals, tip calculation, a turn tracker and gift cards on the vendor's page, with payroll reports, retail items and inventory on the reseller's. Online booking is a portal at a simplepos.us address, attached to that till.

It is sold, installed and supported through payment resellers, bundled with card processing. The vendor's own site is four pages — a home page, two privacy policies and the terms for its text messages — and there is no help centre, no feature documentation and no pricing page. Everything on this page about the booking portal comes from what a customer sees on the public page or from what the vendor and its reseller print; the rest is marked as not published.

It is a US product. The vendor's contact number is American, the reseller Joy Payment serves all 50 states, and the booking page's phone field accepts North American ten-digit numbers only. Vietnamese appears in the reseller's demo videos and on its support line. Nothing published says whether the product is available anywhere else.

Bookodile is a booking system, with a website built from it. It is for a business where the people are not interchangeable, where a room or a piece of equipment is the real bottleneck, and where one visit can involve two people — and it has no till.

The pricing model, in practice

There is no published price. To get one you phone the vendor, or request a demo from a reseller, and the quote covers a hardware package — the reseller lists a 15-inch terminal with a pinpad, a 24-inch desktop and a tablet with a pinpad — together with a merchant account for card processing. The reseller offers a 30-day trial with no card, and advertises "Free Terminal & Supplies" without stating the conditions. The vendor's own site mentions no trial. What the software costs on its own, what that price includes, whether text messages are charged separately, and whether there is a minimum term are not written down anywhere.

Bookodile charges per location plus per booking spot that actually took a booking that month. People who take no bookings are not counted. The figures for your country are on the pricing page and the model is explained in What Bookodile costs.

Nobody can tell you which is cheaper from a web page, because one side's price is not on one. Ask the reseller for the whole bill in writing — software, hardware, processing and texts — and put it next to the pricing page.

Two services, two people

This is the row a multi-person business asks about first, and for SimplePOS there is nothing to read.

The vendor publishes no help centre and no feature page for its booking portal. Nothing on its site or the reseller's says whether a customer can put two services into one booking, whether those services can go to two different team members, or how each person's time is blocked when they do. The reseller's only sentence about online booking is that customers can "book, reschedule, or cancel appointments in seconds through an easy online interface". This page does not fill the gap. If this flow matters to you, ask the reseller to show exactly it in the demo.

In Bookodile the same thing is a combo service: one service with one person and a second with another, as stages of one booking. Each stage carries its own team member, its own duration and its own room if it needs one, and each person is blocked only for their stage. The customer books once and receives one confirmation.

Switching from SimplePOS

  • Customers. SimplePOS publishes no export; ask your reseller what they can hand over. Bookodile has no import tool yet; customers are created the first time they book, and your team can add anyone by hand.
  • Bookings. Nothing published says whether bookings can be exported, and Bookodile does not import them. Run the two side by side until the old calendar empties out, then switch the link.
  • Your booking link. The SimplePOS page is a simplepos.us subdomain. Every place it lives — Google Business profile, social bio, your website — gets the Bookodile link, or the embedded widget. Bookodile generates a QR code for the counter.
  • The till. SimplePOS is your card terminal, your gift cards, your turn tracker and your payroll. Bookodile replaces none of that: keep the point of sale, or replace it separately. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; it does not take the money.
  • Text messages. If your customers are used to text confirmations, Bookodile's will be email for now: its SMS, with the SMS messages add-on on a paid plan, do not reach US or Canadian numbers yet — they are coming soon.
  • Hardware and processing terms. Whatever you signed for the terminal and the merchant account is between you and the reseller; nothing about it is published. Read that agreement before you move.

Where each one fits

Choose SimplePOS if you want a till and a booking page in one system, card terminals and processing bundled with the software, gift cards you can sell, payroll and turn tracking, a native owner app, or a reseller who sells and supports in Vietnamese by phone.

Choose Bookodile if you want booking without a terminal, a price you can read before you call anyone, a booking page your customers read in Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese, people who are priced or timed differently, a room or a piece of equipment that limits what you can take, one visit that can involve two people, or more than one location run as one business.

Common questions#

Is SimplePOS free?#
No free plan is published. The vendor's site gives a phone number and no price; the reseller Joy Payment offers a 30-day trial with no card, after which the software, hardware and card processing are quoted to you. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every add-on included — SMS aside, which need a paid plan — and stays free: it is not a trial.
Can I move my customers from SimplePOS to Bookodile?#
SimplePOS publishes no export tool, so ask your reseller what they can give you. Bookodile does not yet import a list either. Customers are created automatically the first time they book, so a list rebuilds itself as regulars return, and your team can add anyone by hand in the meantime.
Does Bookodile take card payments like SimplePOS?#
No. SimplePOS is a point of sale with card terminals and a merchant account. Bookodile does not process payments, take deposits or hold a card on file. Payment stays between you and your customer, however you already handle it, and the payment-tracking add-on records what arrived.
Which languages can my customers book in?#
SimplePOS's booking page is English only and has no language switcher; Vietnamese is offered by the reseller for demos and support, not on the page. Bookodile's booking page comes in 17 languages, Vietnamese among them: each location has a main language and can add up to seven more, which customers pick on the page, separately from the language you read your dashboard in. Its wording in the 13 beyond English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese was written by AI and has not yet been read by a native speaker.
How does the pricing compare for a small team?#
For SimplePOS, nobody can tell you from a web page: the price is a quote from the vendor or a reseller, bundled with hardware and processing. On Bookodile, three team members who each take their own bookings are three booking spots, which is above the free tier; the figure for your country is on the pricing page. A team member who takes no bookings is not counted.

How these comparisons are made

Every claim about another product comes from that product's own published pages and carries the date it was checked. Nothing is inferred from silence, no price is estimated, and no review is repeated as fact. If a line here is out of date, write to support@bookodile.com and it will be fixed.
